Bravo..!! this is certainly one thread I'm going to be glued to. Always loved the miata for what it is, fun to drive car with a reasonable price tag. Sad to see the car in such a pathetic state, but at the same time, you guys doing this superb refurb and rebuild is just great..!! We have an '79 240D Mercedes back home, when the time comes, I'm going to drop by your place for a new lease of life for my car. keep up the good work, feels like watching wheelers dealers all over again.

Yes the Miata sure is a Fun drivers car. Wonder why such cars were never launched in the Indian automotive market. Thanks for the wheeler dealers comment. Anyways, will keep you'll posted.

The current Engine and Brake Setup is for Practice. In stage two, we will either go for a stroker kit and Turbo, or an Engine Swap, along with 6 pot rear and front brakes. (And the existing brake setup isnt a 4 pot. its lesser )

What kind of paint is it on the brake discs?
Is it of some special kind by any chance, or do you plan to scrub it away later?
Loved the powder coating/paint on the chassis and the cleaning process. Amazing job.

Its just a very fine layer to avoid rusting. And it basically came on top while painting the entire rotor (apart from the actual braking section ) But will be scrapped off during its cut on the lathe.

Assembly has begun!! Feels good! But we are going to miss the deadline (of June 15th) as parts took longer than expected to arrive :( . Nevertheless they are here! Time to put things together!
