Question Art leather seat covers

Having checked out previous threads on Seat covers I have pretty much decided to go for Art leather seats for my new Zen and G sport seems to be good visible brand.

Recently have been making enquiries at Sprocket (G Sport dealer) Koramangala Bangalore. He has quoted the following rates for Art leather Seat covers only

Rs 7500/- for their top quality material with a bit of foam (very thin) backing
Rs 7500/- Again good quality material with breathable holes
Rs 6500/- The next quality available.

Also Rs 1200/- was quoted for stitched art leather cover on to the Steering wheel.

Are these reasonable prices ? Or should I bargain a bit more considering even my friend wants to fit the same kind of covers as well....

Help me to decide by the coming weekend..

Thanks

Forget about the dealer and check out some accessary shop.

Imported art leather seat cover should set you back by 3500-4000Rs.

PU leather and PVC leather are the optiosn available in art leather.

The above prices are way too expensive, I got my friends car seats (zen) done for 4.8k, including stitching, foam and also making the headrests a few inches smaller. The fit and finish is amazing. Contact Ravi @ 98802 39566. If im not mistaken, the work is done at Ovion, Mission Road, Shamrao Compound.

When I was after seat covers for my car I had contacted a guy on JC Road who gave me a quote for 3.7k for PU leather and 2.8k for PVC leather... Never ended up putting covers though...I lost the contact details of this guy but its one of the big shops on the left side of JC road, close to jansons... auto planet or something, Mr.Hadi is the contact person.

Its best to go for a customised pattern and colour combo... Ravi did the work for us in 3 hours flat including fitting. Really good finish of a black/greywhite combo!

Hope this helps!

Hey, at least for the steering wheel get a real leather cover, stitched. This is one part you are constantly touching, and a good real leather cover should not be more than 1.5 K. One gets these covers that can be tied on, with laces, real suede or smooth leather, in Dubai/Singapore for around Rs 200/- They last a year or so. I use one for my getz, and feels great.

Finally got the Art leather seat covers done up for the Zen. Expect the cost be somewhere around 3-3.5K (It is a combined deal for 2 Zens and one WagonR you see )

Really pleased with fit and finish. This was done by a couple of people operating out of a non descript location in Sampangiramnagar, B'lore (One of them is ex- Stanley guy I suppose)

Will post pics shortly..

regards
Arun
