Nice thread to view the difference between claimed hp/torque with output measured. As many members suggesting, it can be taken as approximation reference. Many factors such as tire width, pressure, rubber quality alters final output. I have seen another type of dyno where the wheels are removed and connected directly to the hub with the dyno. This should be more accurate to calculate.

Hey, nice article.
Is there any updates available on Ford Classic TDCi, Diesel stock car, which has a stock specification of 68bhp (4000rpm) & 160Nm (2000rpm), and FYI I do have a perfect 2014July model stock piece.!!

Like I said, this is pure speculation, but I still don't believe that VW (or for that matter any other manufacturer) would quote WHP.

Feel sad that my speculations turned out right! Now we know how the worst-case test conditions for VAG diesel engines (where they meet emission norms) are different from real world conditions (where they don't meet emission norms and have better output and fuel efficiency). Hope this puts the case about VW quoting WHP to rest.

Are you sure about the Fiesta 1.6S? The stock figures seem different! Is it one of the paprika red 1.6S?

Per this thread, it makes about 88bhp!

Something to ponder about the quality of Fuel ?

My Pete's Remapped and CAI fitted Fiesta S put out ~ 79 WHP at RRP Dyno (Bangalore)

So i think there wont be more than 2% variation to the stated stock figure.

Agree, there are lot of external factors. But a difference of 69bhp vs 88bhp for the same car doesn't sound right!

5. If you happen to have a vehicle that is not listed here, please get in touch with us, we have slots for free dyno test (we reserve the right to manage the requests at our own discretion)

There has been no definitive info on a series of engines maintained and driven in identical conditions to have a predefined variation in output. Group N esteem engines do about 58whp to 72whp. VW polos 1.6 petrol all stock do about 78whp to 82whp.

More importantly, none of us here have info on condition of the said car.

If you do have a fiesta you want to test, please get in touch with our office for an appointment, we could update that curve here

Hi Sir,

What difference does the red color make on the performance of the Fiesta S?

Nice thread. Any possibilities of dynoing the 2.2 litre Dicor, Varicor and 400nm from the Storme?

Thumbs up Re: Race Dynamics dyno database of Stock cars

Wonderful information RD... Do you guys have the data for Ciaz? I am trying to compare the power and torque values of Ciaz, City and Verna. Can you share it if you have that data ?

Dynograph of the new Crysta 2.8 1GD shared by Racedynamics. I have their Dieseltronic box on my Crysta. I was expecting more in the P2 mode, 420NM as mentioned in phone call. Measured at the wheel graph would have been more useful in this thread though.

Apart from the graph above performance is much better compared to stock.

As per the dyno graph, the gains are around 10 percent. You can always tweak the box with RD. Anyways, good to know that you are happy with the performance

RD doesn't have figures at wheels??
