Ok, I have read through all the posts and have come to know that the hike in power achieved is sufficient enough to be felt and experienced.

@Jkdas, you say the full kit for Santro costs 9.5K????

Yes could somebody provide information with installation for a Santro and tuners/installers in bangalore ??

Im only interested in a Filter & installing a free flow at the muffler. Dont plan to mod the entire engine, just the last piece for the silencer.

Any ideas ??

yah, if i remember it right its 9.5k for full kit.

Shibup's M800 MPFI kit cost him 5k. I drove teh car today, wow nice vroooomm vrooommm. I should get one for my car. I guess his car's exhaust note is tuned for medium sound.

Yup the cat con is dumped in the setup.... this is illegal in the states..... so they have cat back setups!!

Hi

Yesterday i went 2 Automech & installed a Full Free Flow Exhaust System.

It took few hours to setup on my Santro, but after the setup when i tested the ride it was a real vrrooom vrromm kinda i m driving a sports car.

It was nice to c the eyes turning around on my car.

Automech Guy (Vivek) did a good job.

I m Satisfied with the work.

I also installed a K&N Stock Replacement Filter for my car.

Now i m planning to go in for changing my Spark Plugs. (Suggestion Awaited)

No idea abt who does it in Chennai.

Abt the Cost Factor here in Mumbai i will tell u

Free Flow Exhaust - Rs. 8500/-
K&N Stock Replacement Muffler - Rs. 3790/-
Iridium Spark Plugs (Set of 4) - Rs.2700/-

I Hope the prises wud b more or less same in Chennai.

I personally dont know of anyone that does exhausts better in mumbai other than automech. although speaking strictly from experience i would recomend spending a little more on strapping on a stainless steel exhaust as opposed to the normal sheetmetal that they use.
I had my exhaust swapped out on my '96 esteem soemtime back in 03 i guess when automech was just about starting out. the result back then was simply phenomonal. although as time went by and considering i live a couple of blocks off the sea my pipes started to rust till eventually i had a big gaping hole in my muffler and my connecting pipe has fallen off and was draggin along . unfortunately i was way away from home on the highway close to gujrat and had to fix it with rope till i got back.
Now i just had it replaced before the speed run and shes doing fine again although vivek says itll last no more than a year and a half from now.
i would definately reccomend picking up a magnaflow muffler if u can get your hands on one and have automech do the rest of the piping in ss.

there is an accessory shop in Chennai - Dreams Auto and the contact person is Mr. Jesudas.... He also stocks K&N's, OZ racing wheels, Wurth products for various auto applications, and pete's products.... neat fancy shop...

I picked up my K&N from him... But for the Headers and freeflows i went to Psycho (blore) and got it custom made.... too bad i had only 2 days for the entire job...

if i had a day or 2 more i cud have got the headers chrome plated ...

The dreams guy is a very very good salesman.... literally... he quoted 10.5k + 2.5k for installation.... prices are 3 months back and may have marginally risen or fallen....

honest advice.... PM psycho.... tell him what u want.... u may hav to give him an advance so he can keep the pipes and rest of the stuff ready.... only fitting will be required which will take a day.... so plan the entire operation and go to blore..... come on... it is only 4hrs away and best part.... u will enjoy the drive on the way back.. trust me.... and custom jobs are way better... tell him what u want and he will deliver... and yeah he is very reasonable on the price....
