Default questions about G13B swap in Zen (Suzuki Alto) and the rear suspention..

hello people,

I know there are probably a lot more qquestions like this, but i couldn't find them so here it is again.

I have a european type Suzuki Alto 1.0 from 1996, and i'm gonna try and do a g13b-swap, has anyone got experience with building a zen/alto with a GTi engine?

Does anyone know how can I strengthen the front end?

And then I have a question about the rear suspention, how can I improve it, it's too wobbly now.

and does anyone know where I can find bodykits fitting for the Alto/zen online?

thank you,
greetz, Jan

Hey bro, i've done a G13B swap in a zen. I dont know about the neterlands but here in India there is a diesel version of the zen, so i swapped the front suspension of that car (straight fit). pretty good and stiff. And for the rear i installed Gypsy(Suzuki jimny old) dampers. Solved the rear end problem too. As long as Engine transplant goes, you have to move the front engine bed to accomodate the cam belt.all in all it will be a lot of fun! have fun and lemme know if u want anymore specifics.

have u got pictures maybe?

so the engine + gearbox are too wide?
we don't have diesel Alto's here, so that's gonna be a problem..
but the front is no problem, it's JAMEX lowered, so that will do the trick.

if you use stronger dampers, will your rear suspention be stiff enough?

Salto just one tip it would be easier if you address your car as the Zen, since that's what it was called in India. The Alto is a different model and so people might get confused a bit.

I double Iraghava on what he said. Yes, it'll lessen much confusion if it's been addressed as Zen here. It's an identity crisis, I think.
Check cardomain.com for a Zen (AKA Alto) with 1.8 Baleno engine. It'll be very helpful. I've got the link in my comp, I'll post it tomorrow here. (I'm posting from my phone now).

Hi,

I had done the same swap on my Esteem(swift abroad) 2 years back and was running twin carbs. Have some pics of the setup if you would like. Was much simpler doing it on the esteem than the zen. We have 3 zens running the same setup with MPFI and are absolute killers.

Have you got pictures of the engine supports?
I'm wandering how to get them fixed..
and maybe some pics of the whole car?

It looks nice, only problem, it should be street legal here, so i cannot use carbs..

I have to adapt the whole wire harness, to the alto/zen wiring.. but that will not be a very big problem..

Hi,

The mounting points are exactly the same as the Zen sold here. hence did not feel the need to take any snaps of the same. The other cars are running MPFI setups here. If you wish I can click some pics for you but you will have to wait for that as I have fractured my leg.

Will try and find some pics of the car for you and post them.

As for the 1.3ltr engine swap <G13BB f.e.>. - does ANY of the mounts fit? Could somebody post more pics of the 1.3 engine in an Alto?

Welcome Ziemniak, first & foremost, could you upload a picture of your Alto? Reason behind, we have had multiple generations of the Alto selling in India. And most with different names. Therefore, we'd need to know which model your car is.

That might be a problem, because I don't have an Alto. I hava Daewoo Tico - it is made on the base of Alto. I'll try to make some photos of the engine bay soon, maybe it will help. For the time beeing I can show You engine taken out of the car <You can see mounting points >

Cheers!
