Yes you can fit your cielo A/T with a TC.

It's beneficial only if you like revving your car close to the red line, as TCs are know to work effectively at higher rpms.

Domnic once told me that a 2 stage TC will make a bigger difference. While the first and smaller TC kicks in at low rpms (as it doesn't require much effort to brinfg it to optimum revvs due to the small size and the light weight of the TC) the other bigger TC will kick in at a higher rpm.

So in that way you can enjoy a turbo charged boost through out the revv range.

How much gain a TC will provide will depend on the psi ratings. A TC with a psi rating of 14.7 (which is equal to the atmospheric pressure) will technically increase boost by 100 %. *

Regards...

Do you install stage 2 TC without installing stage 1, or do you have to stage 1 it first and then stage 2?

Let me clear that out for you
What shan means by a two stage turbo is using two turbos instead of one. Where one is of a smaller housing and a smaller ar ratio. Which helps it spool faster, for low rev operation. After which the larger turbo kicks in for higher revs. Which gives a good power band.
But for amits application, a small single turbo would be more than enough. But though when reliability comes into picture the cielo motor has to be worked on intensively to prevent meltdown. As fueling etc has to be taken care of. In a normal motor such as a cielo i think more than 5psi is not recomended at all. Even a 4-5 inch boost will give pretty good power.

Cheers
Dom

Hey PS,

Two stage turbo a.k.a twin turbo or bi-turbo.

Amit,
There are specially made turbo kits for specific N/A (normally aspirated) cars, but only available for the cars that are very popular to turbocharge.
