I have also seen headlight assemblies that have small heat outlet pipes to prevent them from melting or getting damaged. Can anyone comment whether it is an OK option to drill a hole or 2 in a sealed HL assembly to disperse heat? I know there is a problem of dust/moisture but if the bulbs are 100/130, the moisture will vanish in seconds due to the heat.

![]() That would be surely curtains for any head-lamp set-up! Best options are to switch off your head-lights when you dont require them, like in well-lit streets, when you are standing at some red-light,etc. Dont keep flashing between high and low beams constantly. Check more often than required for any signs of wear 'n tear. Or one can fit either of these --> ![]()

Would it really be 140/180W? And what about the holders for it? Most wire/relay kit support only upto 300W max.

| i need to improve my cedia in the lighting department. the lights dont seem to be sufficient for me at least. i have gone through some of the posts but would really appreciate responses. initially i had thought of getting osram's/philips but the wattage being the same there wouldnt be too much of a difference (logically?). and therefore now HID's seem to be the answer. The car uses H4 60/55's (single lamp, unlike my dear palio's double lamp which i am so used to as far as the lights are concerned and therein it seems lies the problem). now to the questions: - the HID would be better for low beam...am i right? (since i do highway, both hi/lo xenon's may not make sense). pls. correct if i am wrong. - but would a xenon lo beam bulb also have a halogen hi beam? - should the wattage of the xenon be 60/55 (since the current halogens have those wattage) ? with type 6000K i suppose, since 4500K are hard to find? - for switching to the xenon HID: should it be a projector setup or will the current reflector based setup suffice? - the HID setup would require additional wiring bypassing the oem wiring, harness, ballast, and holders? - finally, from where in delhi/NCR to get the Xenon's from and which brand? (if anyone has dealer contact numbers pls. let me know, thru a PM if you please.). i only need to get the kit. the installation would get done from the dealership...to be on the safer side of warranty issues

| Senior - BHPian | a projector setup would be better. try and get the projector setup. most HIDs are 35w. in the projector setup i think there is a separate bulb for high and low and otherwise in h4 HIDs the bulbs moves to give the high beam effect. 6000k would be fine but 4500k would give better visibility. |

Then read this link here IPF light bulbs H4 Super Low Beam XX series headlight bulb upgrade They even have a 150/190W option ,but in actuality these are 60/80W bulbs with coatings and some have 'double-tube' inside them, which allegedly gives 'extra performance' !! ![]()

Team-S,if you look carefully to the left of the picture, outside the red circle,it says that it is an 60/80W bulb, which claims to give out light in the range of 4100K! ![]()
