Hey, jokes apart! THat's some serious offence and I think they should be caught and punished.

Hella Luminators are good. I will vouch for it anyday. But the prices you mentioned seems a bit high. Just make sure.

Lightbulb New Head Light for Swift

Sorry to start a new thread guys. I am getting too much confused reading the thread on Auto Light.
The original fittment light on swift is pathetic. I was not able to see the road in rains and also in fog.
Please suggest me the best upgrade so that i will be within legal limits inside the city and i will have good vision in rain and fog on highways.

Many thanks in advance for your solutions.

i think 100/90w philips vision plus or 130/100 philips rallye lights will do the job. you will also have to get cut outs and relays for this. if you want white light then look at philips blue vision or diamond vision.

I had 55/60W Philips crystalvision in my Scorpio that I recently replaced with Philips bluevision 100/90W. The lux is greater than the crystalvision. But my electrical guy did not install a relay & advanced holder for these new bulbs saying the Scorp already has a relay and the holder is capable to take the load and heat.

Any comments & advice?

Many unknown brand halogens have UV block written on their boxes, but actually are not. So stay away from those and you will be fine.
If you are getting 100/90W you need a relay, otherwise you can blow the fuse. As for wiring harness, it is needed to get full potential, but from a damage point of view it does not have much effect.

Yesterday I got the relay and the enhanced holder installed for my 110/90W Philips Bluevision bulbs. Though the Scorpio already had pre installed relays, as I discovered later on opening the fuse box, peace of mind was restored....

If you bought without warranty then you have no option but to get new headlamps. Did you use high and low beams together by pulling the stalk towards you? The failure could also be due to alternator voltage being too high due to regulator fault.

How do I check this to ensure right voltage?

No manufacturer usually gives warranty on bulbs. Even the car maker do not.

When you pull stalk towards you when there is low beam running both low and high beam will activate twogether.

Mugen.

Using both filaments together will lead to heat builtup and this can cause the bulb to "blow". This is esp true for 100/90W and higher wattage high performance bulbs

I am sorry to repeat this. Do you mean that when I pull the headlight lever towards me, both filaments get activated? If yes, what is the best way to operate the dim and bright actions?
