Basically there are two parallel bars whose ends on one side are bolted just above the rear windshield whereas the other ends are bolted just below the rear windshield and somewhere in the middle these bars are connected with a plate for the nuts go in. A couple of 800's here have done this as well. Hideous idea!

Well - I guess you take a pic of any Maruti Cab in Shillong and it would qualify easily for this thread. Blings and lights and stickering and football stuff and what not....And alloys seem to be quite common too

Well, I can only imagine

However, till date no vehicle has ever managed to command the respect I have for the magnificence of the white Ambi.

I'm guessing you've been to Shillong because what you said there my friend is absolutely right!

And speaking about Shillong another common modification seen ...

@Ashkait - My wife's family is settled in Shillong and I have been visiting Shillong from our dating days - for almost a decade now. Most recently last week.

I dont think this can be termed as modification. This is how the local bus bodies are built in Meghalaya.

There are few that have seating in front half of the bus and loading area in the rear half. The seats are placed on entire width of the bus with doors for all seats! It works well for the villagers bringing their products for trade to larger towns and cities like Shillong from their villages.

I agree with you - May be my post lacked clarity - I was mentioning about the stickering on the windshield and the "attachments" rather than the body of the bus itself - as a continuation to the previous posts. Then again technically a used truck (the one in the pic as confirmed by the driver) converted to a bus is a modification, though not weird or whacky.

Thumbs down Re: Pics of weird and wacky mod jobs!

Spotted at Mahalaxmi, Tips on how to ruin a Range Rover, seriously what was he thinking!! I guess it has been posted before. The number plates are downright illegal, with a Dubai style font and numbers written with beads which are barely visible.

JoeMichael, I would really like to know if that vehicle is a truck or a bus; and the billion dollar question: WHY, God why?

It's actually a bus body fitted onto the chassis of a Tata truck. Why is the million dollar question. Just take a look at the windscreen. You can barely see what's happening on the road.

Had been to Virajpet with my friends. This auto-walla ferried us from the Bus Stand to the resort.
This auto is one the wackiest auto's I've personally seen.
