Folks! Saw this Santro at Safdarjung (Delhi) today morning. Apart from the visible pathetic mods like protruding exhaust et al it had just one door covered in Black vinyl and a sticker too. Overall it was badly kept. Could not click more pics due to traffic.

From the pictures that I can see and judge, the stickering work etc has been done well along with the tail lamp blackening effect which gives the rear a complete look minus the silly large end can and the obvious "cloth hanger".

Hi.
More of a makeover than a modification.
Any guesses on the donor car?

Short wheelbase, only four nuts in the wheels, very tiny wheels, thin steering all point towards the 800 / Alto.
The ORVM is from an Alto, tail lamp is from the previous Gen Honda Accord.

But whatever that car is, IMHO, it should be in the W&W thread, certainly not here!

I think donor car is a Zen, going by the front glass and the wiper area as well as whatever dashboard is visible.

and yes - this is a W&W candidate.

You are spot on, Zenren! The hood is motorised and its running on 15 inch rubbers. Mechanicals untouched.

Hi Shwetank,

Is this yours? Any more details on the motorized hood?

I have a friend who is making a convertible Civic, and he's having a hard time getting someone to do a motorized hood well. Any details you can share would be helpful!

Thanks,
R

Hi Rehaan!

The vehicle is very much mine. The motorised hood was the most painstaking and time consuming aspect of this project. Believe you me, no run of the mill workshop would be able to do it for you. As you can see, the hood does not fold in entirely which spoils the asthetics, but I guess these are those things with hand made designs that we have to live with. The idea is to first make a mechanism which can be worked by hand and then get motors to substitute the hand. The smaller the contraption, the better it'll work.

You can also try getting a complete unit used in the San Storm and making necessary alterations, although it will be a manually operated system. Fit and finish would definitely be better.

Hey Shwetank, I somehow liked your work this. It certainly doesn't look WnW to me, the modification is neat and is definitely not an eye sore. Great job!

Hi VWikram! Nice to know you liked it. Quite a lot went into the making. Anybody who has tried doing anything like this would vouch for that. Thanks a lot.

Folks! Saw this Toyota Innova parked at Community Centre parking at New Friends Colony, Delhi an hour back. Can't take the risk to place this on Tasteful thread but to me it doesn't look bad but kind of wacky for sure.

The integration of the tail lamp is impressive! And I must admit, it looks better than stock. Gives a better stance to Innova balancing its tall look. But, din't like the body cladding much.
