Though I can't really make out from your picture, going by your description, I'd say that it probably was a BMW Emergency Spare Wheel (ESW) on the car. It is available as an option at the dealership.

Today seems to be a weird day, I also saw a gold wrapped X6. Couldn't click a picture though!
Would have been the space saver tyre which is commonly used these days by big manufacturers.

Really a Gold wrapped X6. Someone already had a gold wrapped Toyota LC or Lexus 470
Do we have any sheikhs in the town?
Why do people wrap cars in hideous colours, specially chrome. Dont they think of other people riding or driving behind them or coming from the front on a bright sunny day.

Oh God! I saw this article too. Someone shared it with me. Its basically a swift modified into something from an outer planet. And the dashboard for this is basically an Alto's. This one definitely cracked me up

This car belongs to Ahmedabad. Has been standing still since a couple of months near Concept Hyundai Workshop (besides Shantipura crossroads).

Definitely wacky !

Bro, that's not a Suzuki Swift! It just wears headlamps from the Swift. It is in all probability a Mahindra CJ3B. The leaf spring suspension is clearly visible in one of the pictures. Besides, the stance is very jeep-like. I have seen these alloys on Mahindra Classics. So it is a SWB jeep with Swift headlamps, i20 tail lamps, an Alto's dashboard, and one very weird previous owner .

I'd say a previous generation VW Jetta, going by the shape of the headlamps and the design of the dashboard.
