I hope they are fake ones (actual tail pipe being hidden beneath) Else the complete exhaust piping lacks suspension and may end up breaking anything between the exhaust manifold and the tail piece.

PS: Isn't this a mod job, and this thread is for stickers and badges?

Not weird but kind of pathetic to say the least. Interiors were better though

Guess they ran out of Deep Black at the paint shop! Dual tone finish never looked so bad.

What was the owner thinking? He destroyed a car which was otherwise neat and subtle. Really pathetic.

This is the one of the best manifestations of the Indian art of ''Jugaad''!
There are so many bits and pieces in here. The body appears to be made of plastic ( the kind that toy cars in amusement parks are made of). Tail lights from the Matiz, alloys from the Baleno, instruments a mix from cars of a bygone era. Even the gear lever is cleverly masked ( in a poor execution of the job).
The ancient gauges and metallic gear lever suggest that the base vehicle should be:-
  • Diesel
  • Passenger car
It would be really interesting to check who made this. A lot of money and time went into the making of this- might have been a bit more worthwhile if the quality of the work was better.

Ummm....The registration is CAY, so that would make it in the 'first half of the 'Eighties, Bangalore.

Thus, reaching a conclusion in this case is going to be a wee bit tougher.

I guess the tail lamps are from the Chevy Spark.

Thanks for the correction.
The speedometer has mph markings - I checked quite a few pictures online but none of the meters appears to belong to the Standard Herald, Fiat 1100D or any of the Ambassador versions.
In any case, the car also sports a 'push button start' !
I have a feeling that the person who created this, with a bit more technical know how and better tools, could actually turn out to be a professional car modifier.

I actually laughed out loud and almost woke up my son looking at the above pics of the "embarassador".
