Although I don't have a picture to supplement my claim, here's a really weird modification..

Picture a maruti 800 (the version around 1997-2000) with a sun-roof, a ladder fitted on the hatch.. 4 high-power halogen lamps fitted on the roof just after the top end of the windshield.. the bumper changed to a slighter big size.. the tyres bulging out (I think a 5 ply tyre was used).. A big muffler at the silencer. A vent (the kinds you see generally on Prado, Scorpio etc) on the bonnet, neon lamps at the belly and tyres.. the tail lamps painted black except for a small circle at each lamp! a long antenna, stickers of every possible car accessory and component brand on each door and the windows with pitch dark filming.. an extremely high power music system.. a foot step on either sides (yes!) and that is roughly what I saw in Bangalore a year ago.

I pity that 796cc engine!

I have seen a similar "brake lights" on i10.
Seems like the latest trend in W&W field.

I guess that lights on the roof is the new big thing. Have seen tons of vehicles in Chennai with those. Mainly Indicas and Swifts. And the funny thing is though I have spotted lots of cars with those lights, I have never seen any with their lights on.

@x-machine

kindly blank out the number plates before posting any pictures until and unless you have obtained permission of the owner to post his car's pictures online OR the car has participated in some autoshow covered by media.

if the M3 looks like a weird and wacky mod job to you, wonder what will you say to cannonball club who on 15th august had put vinyls of indian flag on all the group cars.

Unable to find the x-machine post and pics!

Maybe the mods deleted it?

The maruti below with the ladder has a wheel of a Bajaj Sunny, so when the car has a flat tyre it runs on a sunny wheel or does it have all four wheels of a sunny, however nice idea for cutting cost on mag wheels.

It even has roof-rails.

What does the guy think, he's in a SUV or what?

My father spotted these vehicles near our house. Clicked using a mobile camera. Pardon me for the poor picture quality.

1) Maruti 1000 with Fiat Palio's headlight.

2) Premier Padmini.

PS: I ain't sure whether I can call these modifications as 'weird and wacky'
