ok first wats a kompressor?? is it something like a supercharger? cos if it is i highly doubt it serving well for daily chores. secondly 25 to 32 bhp jus from intake, exhausts and the kompressor thingy?? sounds too good!!

Update: Ran a Hi Scan and deleted trouble codes. Car has become even peppier with the power coming in a bit earlier now.

@BalenoPower: Heard about your car. Must have a look now.

@Nikhil: I'm sorry I don't understand your post.

First of all... I'd have to say... Nice thinking sir... The Optra is a gentleman car, and your words seem to reflect that you have tried to keep it so, while modding it...

My friend has an optra, and i was really taken to the NVH levels, and the solid build it has... But the 1.6 could become much more peppier with some light mods... And that issue you seem tpo have adressed...

I gave the link of this thread to my friend to go through... Its hard to find decently modded optras... I'm sure it rocks!!!

Interesting... did you do anything to increase fuelling or are you running on the existing setup?

Nikhil - What exactly does this kompressor do? It's certainly not a supercharger & since it's connected to the Air Filter I can't see what exactly it's purpose is. And why do you have the cloth sleeve over your air intake piping? And what car is it, an Esteem?

Boom, a very crisp & informative thread, a layman's guide to useful mods....I like the "disguised" concept a la Pink Panther tho. I just hope your thread doesn't spark off the "hidden" street racing streak in all of us

Suman, I think he wanted to convey that kompressor gave good boost and power to his car that he never lost in a drag with a swift. He may have lost earlier to the same swift....

And it is probably a tiny car performing at par with the big Swift now. What car is it Nikhil?

Guys... Please correct me if am wrong...

I thought Kompressor was the term for supercharger used by Mercedez benz...

eg: the supercharged 1.8 L engine In the C200 KOMPRESSOR

Hey thanks all of you for your encouragement and support. It means a lot.@Psycho, she's running on the stock setup. Haven't really thought about any fuel management changes.
