bloody hell that type R is damn expensive.i have a link for a brand new crate engine with manufacturer bill for $5200 and guess which engine.the evo 9 2.0L turbo Mivec engine.code 4g63t

this is the reason i was asking for how much the duty is.

this engine can be had for as low as $4000 if the source is chosen wisely and after a lot of research.

4G63T could be Evo 1-9. And I do believe 9 is the weakest link, with the Mivec. Easier to import for 1.5 lakhs used, or get in touch with local tuners, as many of them will have atleast one such engine lying around.

But we're seriously off-topic.

Hi Guys,

The new motor is finally in and running. Will post pics and a initial report in a day or two. Barely driven the car for 10kms since I got it in my hand. Need to reinstall my ICE and give the car a good polish.

Hi,

As requested here are ssome pics clicked yesterday from the phone cam. Will take proper pics in a day or two after completing some pending misc work(tiding up the engine bay), fitting new speedo cluster, ICE etc.

Just one question jiggy, since now you are done with the engine swap, what are the legal formalities that you would require to do?(any kind of RTO formalities: other than registering the engine number, which you must have already done, though)any kind of emission norms/certificates that you need to have?

Its funny how I plop everywhere and anywhere for a test drive. Needless to say I was even in vipers car for a test ride... All I can say is whoooaaaayipppeeeee..
The damn thing plummets like a rocket and its faaaaast. Actually unbelievable. Great going Viper. And yes its loud and I don't generally like loud cars but there are always exceptions... One can get easily used to and addicted to this sound.
In short, Wow and DroolMaal.
