Thanks Busa and vid6639. Indeed a lot of time and effort. But there is a correction, its not yet done. There is still modifications that are left. Some include:[b]
  • Front Mudguard - Install after rains
  • Tax-Disc Holder - Under process
  • Tyres - After rains
  • Air Filter

Air Filter - Most probably K&N. I'm not sure if we end up with HP. Need some reviews on both of them.
Tyres - Dunlop 3.5x19 F&R.

Its fun to ride it. But it gets very painful in traffic. There's a lot of load on ur palms. To change lanes you have to turn back. If ur riding in the rains, you spoil ur (or the pillions) shirt and hair. The pic below shows the riding position. Its changed from an upright position to a lean-forward one. The handlebar still has to be lowered a few mm's to have it inline with the front headlight-dome.

The pic in ur post .. the Scrambler.... not too much of fan of this.

P.S : If all goes well, Cafe Racer - II should start in a few months

your bike is definitely a better looker than the Scrambler...I must say very neatly done job...looks almost like as if it were out of the production line...a lot of passion has gone into its development

Its looking very good indeed.. How did you reduce the distance between the engine head and the petrol tank?
How bout a velocity stack to go with the look?

Very neat work there Gordon & V12 (wherever you are!). I particularly like the way the exhaust has been shaped and finished.

The distance between the tank and the engine is the same. Nothing has been done to it. maybe the photo angle makes it look lower.

Whats a velocity stack?

Velocity stacks are trumphets /reverse megaphones mounted straight on the the card. This increases velocity of air going into the carb and helps increase atomization of fuel.. there are stask with KN filter at one end and the stack connects to the carb air intake.
here is a link to wiki page Velocity stack - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and a pic

Time for updates :
The print for the tax disc holder is ready. Have to fabricate the tax disc holder now. Other small bits are also being done. Will post as and when its ready.

Offtopic : Spotted a very well maintained (or maybe restored) Triumph T100 at Toyototech. It sported 19-in Atlas white-walled tyres. Any idea where tyres can be white-walled. I've seen a lot of cabs which have white-walled tyres. And the quality of the "white-wall" looks good. Are these white walled tyres available or are they done somewhere?

Very very good Gordon, gr8 work. its looking much better than what I was expecting. can't imagine how good it will look after changing the front mudguard.

how about Uni for air filter? I have heard that they are better for dusty/mudy environment.

Thanks vabs and GS. Vabs, do you have any pics of the Uni filter on a Bullet. Or any reviews. I am still keen on fitting either K&N or HP. Havent had much response on filters in this thread.
