Esteem Mpfi engine for Indica - Team-BHP

Guyz can anyone suggest that can a engine of esteem MPFI can be transferred into an indica diesel with any alterations without changing the shape of the car? any alteration on chasis will be acceptable but not on exteriors of the car!!!

Dude i dont have any real good advice for you.

BUT!! Esteem MPFI to Indica?
Are you sure that you REALLY mean this?
My eyes are getting watery.
I just cant believe someone wants to convert a pocket rocket into a truck?!!!

Maybe a good car modifier can help you out.
Maybe you should get in touch with Autopsyche.

but why a esteem any reasons but why dont you go for a indigo one its from the same manufacturer so wont have any problems.

Don't you think it'll be better to transplant an Indica/Indigo petrol engine? The Esteem engine might fit but would need custom mountings, Esteen gearbox etc. Not worth it IMHO and don't know if anybody will be willing to do it also.

Even if the engine is fitted with the amount of body roll that car suffers on curves it will be even more dangerous than a Zen, besides not much weight also is saved, so what's the catch ? Why an Indica all of a sudden ?

Yeah, thats what i was thinking. This whole exercise would cost anywhere between 1 L to 2 L. you could get a 2000/2001 MPFI Esteem for that price. I am not sure an Indica's shell is worth this.

Well the enquiry which I got was from an indica lover and he wants only esteem mpfi engine for his car as he wants to make it faster....If I speak about indica petrol engine or Indigo petrol or TDI, the guy is not ready to put a tata engine and want the shape of indica only......

how about the new 16v DOHC engine, which comes in the new indigo xl?

it makes 100 bhp!

even i was thinking of an engine transplant for my car, and the best option i found, is this engine..

what say guys? and any idea, if i can get the complete engine from tata? and the aprox.. cost???
