Manveet's OHC: Afterglow - Team-BHP

First things first, this Thread is dedicated to my OHC, currently a daily driver which will become a Hobby/Weekend Ride in time to come.

Last week I completed my first year of employment. If I look back at the proportion of my first-years Salary thats gone this 8 year old babe, I don't think i'll be able to sell it.

So now that you know what its about, those of you who are still here - Welcome to my Thread.

Lately, my Car has been participating in certain activities I cannot talk about on T-Bhp

and I noted that the junta was having a slight problem referring to it. Someone was calling it "Eurolite", someone "golden-rims OHC" and others were like "goldie"

Considering the (a) above; and (b) performance Mods I have mentally lined up, I guess this was a good time to Name my OHC.

Ladizzz and the Gentelman's - A warm welcome to AFTERGLOW.

Apart from the fact that I love the song by INXS that goes by the same name, heres why I decided on this particular name:

Definition: The comfortable feeling following a pleasant experience

Absolutely what I feel after taking her for a spin.

Definition: A lingering impression of past glory or success.

Which is what I will go through my mind when I think of her several years down the line, when I shall be older and (hopefully) more sober. Those of you who've heard "Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen probably can relate to what I mean.

The light emitted after removal of a source of energy.

This is tongue in cheek, but assuming my OHC to be a source of energy, this is what you will go through when/if I streak past you while you're pedal on metal in your say stock 125 bhp ride

Dinner waiting, more later.

thats a nice name, manveet. well i have had a lot of opportunities to look at the beauty recently (living in the neighborhood helps), and you seem too engrossed on the wheel that you hardly get a chance to notice that someone is trying to flag you from behind. :-)

Goldie is a classy name. According to discovery T&L's counting service, at last count 28,70,000 sardarji gentlemen from Dilli were called that at home.

What really is the purpose of this thread?
Are you planning any modification project on the car? Was it just brought up to announce the name of the car?
I think BHP garage and photo gallery is the best place for that.

Whats the point of this thread ?
Either discuss the mods which are planned or which have been already implemented.

Does this "naming ceremony" qualify as a modification i.e OHC being modified to "Afterglow" ?

We are waiting to hear what modification you want to discuss apart from naming your car.
Shouldn't this thread be in the shifting gears section ?

Well, I do intend to further mod my ride and will cover those details in due course. If you have a problem with this thread, take it up with the Moderators.
