silencer got a crack - Team-BHP

hi guys, i have an OHC and recently on a journey i happened to get down the road when a mad lorry driver was coming straight towards me without getting down the road a bit, as it was a single lane road, and in this there was some collision under body which i could hear. and i stoped and saw underbody, the pipe from the engine and some where near the rear door was bent down and had developed a crack and the car now sounds wierd.so wat do u suggest? shud i need to change the complete set up from the engine or just will be fine if welding is done.

i dont think welding is recommened its better u change it.......

You should get it checked from the silencer repair shop, they will be able to tell you if a repair will suffice, else you go ahead and change the pipe.

get it inspected, if its a small dent and tear weld it or better get it replaced. while inspecting the pipe ask the workshop to just ensure rest is all well down there

That is correct, if you repair a rather bigger gash then chances are that it will open up again sooner or later, which is not cool.

by the way guys , how much do the free flow cost? does it include the set up from engine to tail.

I am to waiting for ma silencer to give up

a freeflow will cost 9k without the headers that the price in chandigarh

hey guys , i just got checked the underbody of the car, evrything is fine except the centre muffler and its pipe got a hole or let me say it got torn, so had to replace it, it costed me 2000rs for the centre part of the exhaust system.
