Default Vandal proof car cover

I am looking for a car cover. Well lots of them in the market, costing anywhere between 500rs to 2000.
But I need a tough car cover
The requirements are simple
1. Resistant to Blade/knives. Needs to be very tough so that the kids(who should have been aborted) can't damage the car
2. Easily Lockable
3. Quick to take off and put on.
Please tell me the brand, price and where do I get it.
I want something tough, Kevlar will be nice, but I cannot afford Kevlar.

Sounds to me like you need a GARAGE and not a cover...
Do they even make covers that are Blade proof?

I hope so. The green colored covers army guys use are pretty tough. Not exactly enough to deter a determined vandal, but in an apartment parking lot, the kids pick up a easy target rather than go for something tougher to damage.

Yes, after you spend thousands in getting expletives removed, you want to pick them to the bone.
Make not decided, but I am sure of somebody makes tough car covers, they would have all sizes available.

Why dont u install a CCTV camera instead .. Should be cheaper than buying Kevlar suit or building a garage.

How? Most covers have a plastic(poleythene like) surface on the inside which ensures no scratches.

I live in an apartment, on 7th floor. The parking is not condusive to such contraptions. Worst case I will get a cage made(10000 approx) if the landlord permits, or change the apartment.

did'nt knew that they have different internal material.

buy a foldable car canopy that suits ur parking space...then permanently cover 3 sides...add a zip to the front side.... this way u'll save on the hassle for the hardcage (few building society's dont allow them)

TSK - You can get youself a custom thickness cover made from very near to where you are. Next time you travel towards Moradabad, on the Delhi-Hapur 4 lane you'll pass a place called Pilukhwa, where you can see all those shops selling towels. That is the place where car covers & heavy duty truck covers are manufactured.

Go there choose a material & they'll make it into the size of your car's cover. There are some really thick materials available there in Canvas which can be quite resistant to knife cuts.

After you cross the Delhi border on the Hapur Road from Nizammuddin Bridge side, drive straight and after 30 mins or so you shall see on your right side brightly coloured towels fluttering from roadside shops. That is where you get these made to order hides...:-)

Yes, much before. You can't miss the towels hanging there.

Hey Ishan, you have a knack of reminding me of old places. Pehle Kichha aur ab Pilkhuwa.

My native village is about 2 KMs from Pilkhuwa. My dad studied in Pilkhuwa till 12th in Rajputana Regiment College - it is on NH-24, and have a statue of a Rajput warrior - you would have seen it. Pilkhuwa has lots of fond memories, we still have some property there - our old haveli, mango orchards, some agricultural land. My place (Shipra Sun City) is about 45 minutes away from here but I haven't gone to Pilkhuwa for last 5-6 years :-(

Your post rekindled some old memories, so I am going there this week-end with my dad. I haven't seen him so happy in a long time :-)

Tanveer, if you want to enquire about the cover, tell me the make of car. I will get the info about custom-made heavy-duty covers.

Cheers
