Speedo, get yourself the swift sport bumper. Looks much more sweeter than the stock bumper we get here. Might cost almost the same if not a bit more.

KP, are you sure about the bumper prices for the swift? Seems incredibly low to me. Even though painting costs additional.

Speedo, a custom fibre bumper replica of the sport should cost you around 6-7k with painting. Can enquire if you are interested. Or see abix's bumper. Looks nice.

Yes Rahul I'm sure about the prices. Maximum there would be a difference of Rs 50 to the prices i've mentioned....Yes u are right the painting cost would be additional..
Even Esteem's HL's & bumpers cost more than that of Swift..

i wasnt!!! thats the issue!!! :( i thought it would be sloped on the side too! but instead i found a damm drainage hole!! so it basically fell off the slope into the ditch! very similar to how i broke my foot last year!!! lol!
i dont know whats happening dude!!
i think i need to see an astrologer !
hehehehe
and stay away from ditches!!
but lukily not much damage that day just scraped off the paint the bumper got clipped back on!!
but my front bumpers taken enough beating to deserve a change! but im thinking might as well let it be till i have to goto my grand college located in that lovely location where the traffic is just lovely!
very accomodating people that side of town you know, if they dont find space on the left side they'll just move to the right side of the road!!

I look at the Bumper Molding Set - but it's not very clear as to what
it is & how it will help - can some explain - or post bigger pictures
of bumper molding sets.

I had my front Bumper replaced. Costed me close to 5.0 K in all if I remember right.
The quality of the plastic in the swift bumpers is worse than what they provide on the Wagon R. It's just too thin and tears easily. I had an auto brush against my bumper while going in the same direction and the bumper just ripped. Never happened on my Wagon R which I drove for close to 5 years before that. We can perhaps get some stats on the thickness by actually measuring it. Somebody's got a vernier caliper or a screw gauge ?

Wouldn't recommend a sport bumper for the Indian roads. Though they look nice, they will end up very frequently scraping the ground at every bump or pothole.

Including painting, it has to be Rs.3k. 1.5K for bumper and another 1.5k for painting.

They ask 3k for painting alone, plus taxes.

This is what it is. Its a hard rubber material with some foam or something of that sort. Just helps against small impacts and bruises. Will not protect from crackes and dents.

I really dont know why they were asking for Rs.3K for painting. I did enquired with both the dealer and a local paint shop (who does better job than the dealer) & both of them say its Rs.1.5 k.

I will try to scan and send you the estimate copy of mine given by Maruti dealer
