Guys,

Need help.
I have a 2000 Zen (Carb).

Automech free flow is on its way.
So thought it'd be a good idea to go for a replacement filter.

Could you please help me out which is the best make and model
and the cold air intake is it worth the extra money ?

Please help.......!!!

Viky, i suggest you get a heat shield for the filter. In the current setup it will be sucking in plenty of hot air as it is close to the engine. I would reccommend moving the battery to the boot and repositioning the filter in the original battery area.

Default Got a K&N conical for carb 800

hi
Got myslef a conical K&N for my carb 800. Cost me 3700 inlcuding installation.Though i am little doubtful about calling it a cold air intake as the filter had to setp to the
right of the carb pointing towards the 800's battery for lack of space. It also seems to be a little close to the air fan wherein i am afraid it might draw in hot air from the fan istelf.
I will post pics as soon as possible but can you guys give any recommendation as how to shield it from the air of the fan.
On the drivevability side i feel the increase in torque in all gears.I can drive in fourth alomost like a automatic. However i felt the quality of the pipe Automech supplied me
could be better

Default Pics of Conical filter for Carb 800

Attachment 98500Here are my pics. The cars better now than it does before , but i am afraid the filter might suck in hot air from the fan.Automech had a tough time bending the pipe at the carb hence the finish did not come out as good as some of the intake pipes as seen as on some of the cars in this forum.
