That brings an interesting point. What paint is going on it, 2k solid or 2k metallic? Just in case its the later, I guess you know the troubles with re-matching later, especially in our sorry city.

2k metallic. And the guys at AV Designs have assured me that any touch-ups/repainting in the future will not pose any problems. So, fingers crossed!

24k. This in fact is the same rate as HM's auth. service centre. Would have been less had I not gone for a colour change.

Ganges darned Ford! Anyway are they using a paint booth? 24K is quite reasonable and quite in sync with the roadside operators.

Yea, AV Designs has a heat chamber/ paint booth.

Update:
Spoke to the workshop person today. He told me that the painting is done... going to check it out in the morning.

Painting is indeed done, and it looked awesome!! The final coat of polish has not yet been done, but even then it was shining like a mirror. The shade is jet black (taken from a BMW paint catalogue) - no grains, no tinge of blue, green or red. Just the way I wanted it

Some of the accessories and interior parts were being painted and will be done today. Electricals, ICE and seats will be fitted by tomorrow.
I have taken pics, but I'm gonna hold off for a couple of days... it's looking kinda incomplete without the new alloys and tyres. So, watch this space
