you could try arush (autopsyche).
IMO - the best engines for the zen are the g13b (esteem) and the g16b (baleno).

I've never seen a Hyper iVtec engine in my life, let alone in a Zen.

Cousin has a e-zen.. good power to weight ratio. The 0-60 is amazing. Can take on a stock Baleno without any problem.

Will want to try to take him on with some mods soon... more on that later

hey buddy if your looking for an engine to install in a zen i would adivse you to get your self an imported old gen swift gti engine with mounts, gear box,ecm & wiring, this is a twincam g13b with a better bore x stroke and many bolt on parts available for it,its a little expensive but the outcome that can be achieved from it is outstanding, the other options as mentioned to you already are the g13b,g16b most parts from these engines can be mixed and matched but please make sure you know all the technical detail's before you decide to experiment, hope i could help, cheers happy revvin..!

I agree. But only if you want a "max effort" car and your budget is big. There are Swift GTis doing 13 seconds on the strip without NOS or turbochargers.

GT engines are available for quite a good price at bangalore but without the wiring harness and ECU. Which means you have to go carbed or run a standalone. Advantage is you get a lot of aftermarket cams, flywheels, valve springs, retainers, bolt on turbo kits etc.

@ VIPER - since youve never seen a honda hyper, ive posted a pic of the car i saw in speedrun this year.

@dragger - thanks for advice, have it jotted down

@anandkamath - just curious, how much could the 'max effort car' cost? excluding the car

Haha. Thats a stock Indian Vtec engine mate. v1p3r knows, because we have seen that car go through some of the work at the garage we visit. Infact, he was even offered to drive that car. A chance that he didn't take.

Well there are 450bhp 1.6L TCed engines from one of the suzuki tuning companies retailing for about 12,399 $ I guess. Only problem being these will certainly shred the zen into bits.

450 hp? Wow. I think our tuners first need to think about how to get around the 13 second mark without NOS/turbo.

Correct me if im wrong but the fastest zen is around 13.xx but with NOS/turbo, right?
