They do give results. Their EVO was the fastest in this year's SR.

Erm, the Evo was an import. Please don't tell me KS turbocharged it. And I thought I saw AR or N1 stickers on it. Maybe I should look back at old threads.

There was also a tuner called from abroad to check on the EVO. So, I guess it would not be right to give KS all the credit.

Well i am no KS fan nor have i ever goe or met him but his cars at the SR are always doing quite well & N1 does supply parts to KS.

He has done quite a few Lancer to EVO projects.

getting parts is no big deal . its bout the craft
dont get me wrong imo ks is the best in mumbai he s done my bro s ohc and it was 2nd in the speed run just a port polish intake n exhaust with the revlimitter.
right now i dont want to spend a lot all i can afford are cams that too if i find some one flying in from us.
and if i d want to go FI id prefer the trd supercharger its almost a bolt on
no reliability issues or better id do a 2zzge swap 170hp stock straight fit even though parts aviailability would be a problem more bang for the buck

bout the cams i am having second thoughts . doing some research
the stage 2 cams cause a check light with the stock ecu.
also on forums abroad the stage 2 needs springs and the gains are not worth the money on a N/A but then they have different standards. so i am still not sure

these are stage II 272/272 duration. 396/396 lift.
stock specs--
bore stroke--79X91.5
10.0 compression
lift is 370/330

there is bout a 6hp gain and a 12 lb loss.now this is without any tuning.
i also remember looking at a dyno of a celica gt.(same engine proabably different intakemanifold) that had a stand alone and a 7300 redline putting out 147hp.
notice the power and torque drop between 3200-4200. can it be rectified with a standalone?notice the torque curve becoming linear. what does that mean?
can i look at the 147 hp figure with a 7300 redline?
and your openions should i go for the cam?

sorry have to disagree here, have a b16 with 2 chips - one factory stock and the other with different vtec activation point (lower) and different fueling and otherwise standard engine - makes a huge difference. the vtec or cam controller piggyback can and do add a lot of smiles if u know what ur doing

This CAM made slightly low "peak torque" but the torque made is available till redline & the way torque curve is flat the engine will make more power past redline,Modifying intake Manifold+TB with standalone Fuel+Ignition tuning & increasing rev limit will result in impressive figures.

That red EVO was running super-strong internals and 30 psi.
Not to forget the NOS.
