Lets hope that with the amount of pain and effort these guys are putting into it, they better get something decent. Can you get the rear photograph I am really curious as to how they are going to make the CL rear window on this. I really feel like going and telling them about the grille area, thats too small for any liking and he can actually chuck one set of headlamps out. He doesn't have to do a 100 percent Merc!!

i think so - because the rear wheels are looking a bit out of the wheel well. i dont have the rear end pics. the car belongs to a guy named Shabeer @ Bangy (CTK??) i like the head-rests and the flared wheel arches of the car.

Is this by any chance done by DC? I remember DC had done a Fiat long ago which had updated interiors and the works.

No the DC car was different, every panel on it was touched upon. I must say that looked quite substantial. But dont have the pics.

Im told the first car ever modified by DC was a Premier Padmini, I saw it last month. Its currently in a very shabby state, and was heavily modified, with things like a 118NE roof and stuff. It looked HORRENDOUS!

I have seen Padminis land up in Mumbai's infamous "Chor Bazaar". They suffer a poor fate but there's worse in store for this one.

Just for information, some 14 years back there was some activity to restyle the Padmini which was supposed to be very hush-hush. The end result was ?????????? I don't have photographs but I saw it. I know. More (no, not more - ALL) All about it later. Good information is worth waiting for.

HaHaHaHaHa !

This is where the Padmini was taken to the States and some magazine published pictures of the re-worked padmini vs the original. All in our family felt that an attempt was being made to give an american look to an italian design and the original looked much much better.

However that design had wraparound headlamps, flat bonnet, wheel arches and what not. Sort of a old model Ford Taurus.

Ha Ha hA!!
I have suddenly become the object of curiosity in our office location - as obviously the cubicle walls dont allow people to see that I have not gone mad but looking at these pictures!!
Look at the expression on the face of "Van Gogh" judging the would be creation's lines. Thats Fine art for you.

Oh, the rear, thats fusion of the W124 tail light with the W215's top part acheived thru metal (I bet he will "make up" the triangular part in red!)

Look at the "dicky" shut line, a little here and there and he would be in Bangle territory. Play a little trick, go show him the rear of a new BMW! Oh I am still laughing.

I have that issue back home......IIRC it was some US-based company that re-styled the car. Needless to say both look horrendous.

I'll take this anyday:
