OMG! dont tell me this is your project! why? i am shocked. :( i think the owner wants to turn the Italian Car into a German Car. but why? i gotto go out for a fag now after seeing this. this is so depressing.

PS: the owner should be hanged for doing this to a padmini. how could he? aargh!

Oh my! Please, please keep us posted on this beauty.

She reminds me of a Premier Padmini Phantom that had come to one of our rallies, complete with Tata truck rectangular headlights and a chrome Pantheon grille. It even had a cloaking device...everytime he stepped on the gas, a thick black cloud came out of the exhaust pipe!

Unfortunately I missed that golden moment. And she was a diesel too!

Now looking closely at this mercedes monstrosity I see it has a pre 62 gear knob. It just might be that the car is an italian model.

Although the inspiration is the W215 CL for the front door to the rear, the front is W209 clk for the front. Infact, lowering the chin and lowering the rocker panel and narrowing the roof, and maybe sacrificing two inner lights, could see him pulling the Mini Merc (as the fronts too wide for the body). Lets praise the initiative, we dont need so many immaculately restored "padmini's", a few ambitious ones can always add to the charm.

The Porsche Padmini isn't bad by any chance, although the execution of the headlights could have been better. How about the rear end of the car (cos thats where mostly things go horribly wrong in almost all the cases I have seen)

Planet, is this guy using spacers?

From the dead back its W124(Tail lamp inserts) , from the front till the headlight level its W210 , and the bumper is in style with that of W211(fog lamp shape ), I will get more snaps soon .

Whatever the result........Its upto every individual to decide whether its gonna look good, bad or ugly. But, I can surely say that there is a loy of designing, hardwork and patience going into this project too. Do keep sending us the pics stage by stage.
And by the way......Happy Modding!
