Yeah i know what you mean... although the stock sidemounts have been proven good for upto 400awhp, im sure itll be safe to run them here for the time being. We have another car which is running stock sidemounts and pushing close to that figures, never had any issues.

@rohan: I have no idea about how and where a side vent for an intercooler will be. Are the side mount ICs located on both sides of the front bumper instead of being at the center??. Anyways, i've quickly added some side vents but i believe these type of side vents mainly serve the purpose of venting out hot air from the engine bay.

PS: someone please post some pics (or links) of car with sidemount intercooler and vents

Mesh Grill is what works for dual side mounted ICs(If its near the bumpers.), Thats what i think!

The vents have to be in the front grill on either side of the centre mesh.

Arush why dont you go in for a larger single IC on the front, i guess like HPP mentioned, the ones available aftermarket and fabricate it to your needs(FMIC). Would'nt cost of 2 side mounted IC be equivalent to 1 FMIC?

abhik, sorry for the late reply, but the single fmic setup would be more expensive in this case as it involves a complete change of piping as well (100% aftermarket).... the stock 2 x side mounted ICs with piping are considerably cheaper, and its not as if they lack in performance either so the gain vs cost is not justifiable unless im putting much bigger turbos.

Anyhow, the good news is that i have all the parts in my hand! And would you belive it, among 160kgs of engine parts i forgot to order new piston rings? Now thats downright dumb on my part.. hopefully they should be here in time by the time i open up the engine. So the TT conversion officially begins now.

I didn't realize you were going to be doing rod/pistons. Are you doing ARP head studs and some aftermarket(probably Cometic) head gaskets? If you need help getting these.. I can get you them.

What sort of boost are you planning to run? 8:1 is a rather low comp ratio! And why the change in mounts?

Excellent idea on the red. The time taken will be agonizingly long for us curious beings . Hope you can turn this around faster before most of us land up at your facility to give a helping hand with an idea of reducing turn around time
