Its easy. Contact turboindia and arrange for a test drive. AFter that tell us what happened, which can be "I too bought it!" or "Will get it next month"

Hey, what are the different stages mentioned by you? Can you please give us more information about the different stages?
I guess Peter will be a better person to answer this query.

Seems time has come to save little money for the small wonder
I think you should start asap, lol, its the best product which works wonders and is a total DIY to install and so small and compact.

what will happen to engine warranty and stuff if such mods are installed, arguably there is no problem with power, torque and all, but well the former part bothers me.

It seems that he just removes the box before service --- and it leaves no trace!
Yes, i will remove the box prior service and then install it after service, its a 5 minute job now to plug, unplug so warranty remains.

Quote:
I'm interested to know how it affects city driving, particularly congested, stop-start, slow, city driving?
Bingo, thats the area where the box absolutely shines, driveability, the car is so much more drivable its much easier to drive in stop go conditions aka City since turbolag has decreased a bit.

I think I would have taken the diesel Swift than the petrol one..
The only reason why i bought the Swift was the engine, the second reasons was the eerm engine and all reasons where just the engine

I guess this is the closest one gets to Plug-in Nirvana!
Thanks Steer, waiting for your review on the 3.0L DICOR boxed to 140bhp.

Swift D owners i think you should start saving up this box really gives you bang for the buck.

Thanks ye all for the appreciation

Petrol's dont gain much from tuning boxes since they are not TC'ed, yes TC'ed cars can be easily remapped.

Check these links for petrols.

@ BUSA: can u post a pic of where you have mounted the tuning box on the car.

It makes me wonder how you got it fixed and where you have placed it and more how do you intend on hiding it from service personal to maintain your warranty.

Get that filter man. It looks hot.

About servicing i would unplug it & replug after the service is done. So no worries. Fixed it with tape and the installation box has the procedure and assistance is there from Petes Performance.

Hey sorry missed this.

The tuning boxes have 4 different settings in them. The NORMAL setting at which you get the power and more FE. The +1 setting where you get more power with a drop in FE, the +2 where you get MAX power with MAX drop in FE(needs a open filter to work) and the -1 setting where you can reduce the power( I dont get for what)

All boxes are set at NORMAL condition when sold. Most of our customers drive it that way on most of the cars except the Swift, Verna and Terracan where the +1 setting is the best with no drop in FE if driven normally.Boxes for different cars are built differently and use different hardware and software so that is the reason why some work well in NORMAL and somein +1.
Basically it is set at what the customer is happy with. But remember once you are at a higher setting say goodbye to the lower ones since you would never get back there.

Also just a calrification that a lot of you have been asking. The "WIND" works on any car in the region of around 100 bhp. It works really well on the Petrol Swift too. Here is an image.

Rgds.

What exactly does that mean?

Is it that the owner will not go back to reduced power cause he gets used to having a more powerful engine?

Or is it that the box cannot be switched back to lower mods?
