Palio Stile 1.6 sport : please review my mod plans - Team-BHP

Hi Team BHP

I am embarking on the Palio journey and plan to book one next weekend.

Could you please review my proposed car plan? Please comment on anything that sticks out.

Tyres:
Should I upgrade from 175/65/R14 to 195/60/R14 - alloy wheel is 5.5J
Will the 195 give me *noticeable* improvement? Or reduce FE?
Do stock tyres suffer from noise?
Has anyone upgraded to Michelin Energy XM1 or another good tyre?
I plan to do this at dealer. How much will it cost?

Security:
Stile 1.6 sport doesn’t have immobilizer.
What security system do you use?
Don’t want to depend on steering lock; can easily be broken.
In the States, they sell a clutch lock. When locked, clutch can’t be pressed, and car can’t be operated.

ICE:
After reading numerous threads, I’m planning:
Head Unit: Pioneer or Blaupunkt with remote and mp3 CD capability
4 Speakers: JBL GTO937 - 5.25 or 6x9 with MDF
What does MDF mean - I don’t know

Not planning to do at dealer. Any Mumbai recommendations?

Tint:
4 side glasses: Considering Solar Guard. Anyone used it? Garware is bad and others are expensive
Front: Considering Autografix. Any insight? May be forced to buy more expensive Lumnar AIR 65 or vkool
Rear: Would this be helpful?
Should I do this at dealer?

Seat Cover:
Palio’s fabric seems fine. Not taking covers.

Arm rest:
Can someone recommend a place in Mumbai?

I’m not looking at changing filter or free flow exhaust. Still haven’t researched them.

Amit, Many Congrats on your new Palio 1.6! This Hot hatch will rock you for sure!

Tyres: I think Palio Stile model have Tubeless tyres and 1.6 have 175 - 14" tyres which are good enough!

Security: Go for a bit higher model of AutoCop.

ICE: Your choice looks good.

Tint: SunKool is the Best but expensive!

Suggest you to buy Seat covers too, will protect the nice seat fabrics of Palio.

195/60 will improve your grip alot but might decrease your fe slightly. i dont think you should get tyres from the dealer since they will probably charge you extra. xm1 or potenza g3s are good.

for security system i think there is a thread on them. look and xenos or autocop.

ice gurus can help you out with ice.

for tints i suggest 3m, llumar or vkool(if your budget permits) get it on the sides, rear and front.
