Need Advice on pepping up my getz

i have an 2003 getz 1.3l. i want to pep it up i need some advice on air filters and 17" alloys tyre and even engine swap if recommended

Hi,

17" are a definite NO. Engine swap you have 2 options 1.5l Accent engine or 1.6l DOHC Tornado/Viva engine. A 1.5l CRDI engine could also fit.

I know a friend who ran 225/4x/17 on a getz. Needless to say it struggled to get to 120kmph on a slightly downhill road. So just make sure you get the tires upsize right.

i have a free flow and a ractive conical air filter on mine. makes a big diffrence. im also planning on 15inch wheels and a tri-phase. then porting and polishing.

15'' alloys are best suitable for getz...
if you want more power then port and polish the head, fit free flow exhaust, K&N conical air filter and try to decrease the weight of the car as it is heavier than accent (petrol). power to weight ratio help you a lot!!!!!!!!

what about a 16"inch alloy wheels,will it still grind with the wheel arc??

it also depends on how wide the tyres are. but most likely it will. and the ride with those will be terrible. i think the maximum you should go for on a getz or swift is 15inch.

My getz has 175/ 65/ R14 that came with the higher end version.
Do not go over 15" and 195.
What I have in mind for upgrade is 185/ 60/ R14 Yokohama ES100 or C Drive tires.
