| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | My friend is planning to upgrade from his Zen. He is very much interested in the Swift diesel/fiesta diesel, but it doesn't come in ZDi variant that he would have preffered. Since the car would also be used by his mom, seat height adjustment is a necessity. The feature is available in the Swift ZXi. Is it possible to fit this feature in the VDi variant? Also, are there any after market options available? Is it available in low-end versions of the fiesta diesel? And is it possible to get it done at the dealer level? Infractions: 0/1 (10) | the only way of fitting the seat adjuster in the swift is you replace the seat with that of the swift zxi.the mechanism is built into the metal frame of the seat, and i dont think you can get aftermarket seats adjusters. |

| Senior - BHPian | If you buy the swift diesel, you could easily fit the new seat as it would be a straight fit. I don't know about the fiesta though. does it not come with this feature ? if it doesn't it is very sad since the esteem (a very sad car for many) had this simple feature from 2000 onwards in its VX/VXi models. But i feel you could still retrofit a seat like that without major mods. |

| well, simple. Eat the dealer's head (carry a Fiesta brochure etc with you when you go to the Suzuki dealer) or, cushion seats @ BigBazar @ 99Rs |

Infractions: 0/1 (10) | ![]() but the brochure wont really help.these kind of modifications cant be done at the dealer level.i would advise you to go for a car which has this feature if it is of utmost priority. getting the seat opened ad detached from the rail in a new car is just cruel. |

| Senior - BHPian | You get these power assisted adjustable seats of various high-end cars like Accord, Merc etc. from the salvage market at pretty reasonable price. A friend of mine got the Accord seats installed in his Safari with very little mods. Functions quite well and is pretty comfy as well. Quote:

UPDATE We visited Ford dealership, they said height adjustable seats cannot be provided in the base version fiesta TDCi. But its available in the ZXi and top end SXi variants. However, this brought us to another confusion- the overpriced Fusion TDCi. Though its overpriced, its got nice seating position. But paying that much for a hatch sounds over the top (No matter how many times Ford says its an SUV). But its still cheaper than base version fiesta TDCi. My friend still considers Swift DDiS as the first option, if the seat height adjustment problem can be sorted. Or should he just wait for the SX4 DDiS (Thought that could take a year more)? | Totally customised, yes. An attempt to be really comfortable! But then, totally customised in the sense that racing seats are, moulded to fit your body, would be just too exclusive for a family car. |

| BHPian | When I bought my Accent CRDi, I was told by the dealer that the height adjustable drivers seat costs 40K! was just curious because Viva CRDi does not come with such seats. |

| Yo! It seems Maruti should just launch the ZDI (Strictly pronounced Zee Dee Eye!) urgently. I've confirmed upon Irfanmon's request. Yes! It's possible to replace a Swift VDI's seat with ZXI's. It's a straight fit. Told by the Indus chief workshop manager. Happy? Eh? |
