Smile full exhaust and chip for the accord V6 similar to linkway honda owner

hey guys i'm in the process of buying an accord V6.

now a year back or so i had seen this article in BSM about the V6 accord owned by linkway honda owner.

now this accord had a full exhaust supposedly from mugen increasing power by 20bhp.

don't know if this is true because i couldn't find it on any part website.

there was also a mention of a chip.now i know of piggyback and standalone ECU's but what is this "chip" giving it 20bhp.

i'm not at all interested in the alloys, bodykit by mugen etc.

i just need a source in india(mumbai, delhi etc.) for the full exhaust from the headers to the end can and the "chip".

also another requisite is that the exhaust has to be silent.not loud.because this'll be a family car also.

the rest of the things that'll be done on this car will be reported on the forum as and when they happen.

though one thing will be true for this car.this will looks almost stock from outside.

another sleeper in the making hehe.!

What sleeper? Anyone seeing an Accord V6 should know it's anyway got over 220 hp on tap.

I would suggest trying to get a manual tranny for that V6. Should help some. And a turbo.

For a real sleeper look, get rid of the V6 badge and any external chrome pipes. In fact, stick a City logo. Then burn some rubber at the lights against Ferrari Sonatas and BMW Octavias.

LOL. That is true.

Anyways. Dont think he'll be ditching the auto tranny cuz when Navpreet is away peg scraping on his bike, his Mom drives the car.

Anyways, I hope that "chip" is NOT a resistor in a box :-)

Aye, Navpreet, why not drop a line to the "Old Wise Man" in case of the car also?

well first of all i know that power corrupts but i'm not that boy racer who drives a car to have red light drags.i only do it for my own enjoyment.the sheer pleasure or driving and riding.thats alll.so no need to burn rubber with the so called ferrari sonatas or bmw octavias..lol..

by sleeper i meant an absolutely stock looking car because if i do anything to the looks it'll loose its grace as a family car.

for the same reason a loud exhaust or a turbo is out.

manual tranny is out for 2 reasons-firstly i have followed most of the modifications carried out on tbhp.so i know its nearly impossible to do it.
and another major reason would be that my sis and my mom would also be driving the car.

now regarding that chip thingy.well i'll ditch it for mow and save money for the following mods.

1.18 inch wheels with yoko or michilin rubber.
2.koni fsd

now the help i need now is that i need to know where can i source OZ wheels in india.
i know methods deals in konis

any other source for konis would be welcome.

oh yes scaryskulls the "old wise man" is very busy taking the indian motorsport forward.
i wouldn't want to disturb him.he's doing a great job.

Honestly Navpreet, I too would stick to 17". Do a survey of the shops in your area and see if they can handle sizes above 17".

My friend had to replace his Lexus 19" aftermarket wheels with stock size because anywhere he went whether Punjab or Delhi, there werent any shops who could cater to his broken rim problem (broke on a ditch on the NH1)

Also. As a small headsup, the racing reason is going to be over. Ahem Ahem :-)

Navpreet - OZ is available with Methods but of course 17" is going to be expensive & slightly uncomfortable in Dehradun. Also do check out the fact that the good tyre shops there can accomodate a 17" rim on their balancing & tyre changing machine.

BBS is available with PJSPEED in Chennal who's also a member here, for more info you can PM him.

P.S. I know they don't look cool enough but if I were you, I would go for a set of nice 16" rims.
