Diven,

You can definitely rest your case. i would not want to be within miles of the person who worked on his car and gave him a gain of only .1xx seconds is it after a port/polish & high lift cams in addition to the full exhaust with headers.

Last year Paras had his race @ 8 a.m. in the morning in Feb. 3rd week or so .... and this year in March 1st week in the afternoon @ 1:30 p.m or so ..... we all know that in the morning the timings are better .... so i hope this point justifies too for only a 0.1xx improvement in timing then last years ...

I really cant understand what you are trying to say here. Are you telling us that people do better in the morning or something? Because i dont think that is quite true.

Precisely ... the weather conditions do matter , dont they ? a timing done in the mornin @ 8 a.m. and the same @ in the afternoon @ 1:30 p.m. DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I dint mean to say that PEOPLE perform better , ITS THE CAR WHAT I MEANT , as the car is doin the 1/4 mile and not the person.

depends on temperature...the colder it is, the more dense the air is, hence there is a higher level of O2 per unit air. Therefore more air enters the engine, and you end up with a faster 1/4 mile time...

It'll affect anything. You car will feel a lot more responsive on a dry winter night than on a muggy August afternoon. Try it for yourself.

hey,
didnt you say "lets compare apples to apples"..so thats what i did..i compared a similarly modded civic to a similarly modded corolla...what mods gave what results later on is not what we are talking about.
