Harry,

With the use of Headers (FFE) your car will get those hidden Horsepower from your car,

Yes it gives a throaty sound, something like a race car.

It drives better to sum it up.

Guys here is the process to my madness.

The car was in neat condition before i started the paint job.

Barring few rusts inside the engine bay, on the door sils, and few dents on the car all over(Thanks to my dearest Nephew).

This was the first coat of paint on the original i was going for.

The dents were removed all over. The car was ready to go in to the paint booth.

The car went into the paint booth, with all major tinkering and painting.

Every corner where there was rust or any sad surface was treated.

Dupont surfacer was used on the car, as i was very particular(Inspite the workshop insisted ici dulux)

The paint job was mind blowing as per my standards, did not want to do any alterations to my 1997-M-800. i wanted it to be in stock conditions and to the original color. This was achieved and the shade was correct upto atleast 85% near to the original.

This is the out come.

I did a few alterations on the fuel cap and the dicky door.

I removed the locks on them, used the levers from inside(Zen Unit)

Just to add convenience this alteration was done.

Side Looks.

This process included 1) 2 coats of Dupont metallic onion blue paint
2) 2 coats of Dupont slow dry clear

Total dry time with all heaters around was 18 hrs.

"My workshop guy went mad on the electricity bills"
But had to achieve perfection.

My hair stood straight for 2 days inspite of 2 shampoo's daily on my hair.
I was there in the booth for the entire process.

Will add some more pics next.

The car finally came out of the workshop.

Forgot to tell you guys, i removed the side antenna on the car and stuck one ariel at the centre.

But now i've removed them also, i like the plane jane looks on the car now.

I was satisfied but not fully(Dont know why)

She looked terrific on road.

Had polished the car after it came home every week.

My god its impossible to keep doing it week after week.

I have now resorted to polish it once a month
Went into some car detailing at Methods.
Got eagle treatment on the car.

Now the car looked gleaming.

Finally after all this i started using my car as usually daily to office.

Still there was something missing in the car.
The tyres had little less life in them now and my upholstery started looking dated.
My next project was to add new Alloys and some good tyres on them, and to add some leather onto my car.

Started doing them after 2 months (Vitamin-M)
Will update some more pics very soon.

Bye for now, any comments or compliments

Keep throwing them...................

Thank you.

I think after 1) VW Beetle 1967
2) Kinetic luna 1985
3) M-800 1997

I have restored my Business Partners 1990 M-800, do you want me to put them on the same thread or what.

There's also my Brother's 1979 Fiat-Premier Padmini restoration.

And My dad's Bajaj Priya 1985 restoration.

Next my friends Stretch buggy restoration(i played a small part in it)
Will put them slowly on this forum.

Using the Zen levers

The convenience is that you dont have to get down every time your family wants to remove the hatch

or

Get down at the fuel station with the key for the fuel guys to fill fuel.

It works keyless.

Nice car Pawan. I like the color. The rear mud flaps does not fit properly.

Thanks Sankar,

The pic was taken 1.5 yrs back.

The mudflap thing has been taken care of.

And the Color is the original Ionion Blue.

Will post some more latest pics of the car.

Its a sea change from what you are looking at now.

Changed for Better.

Hi, even i have a m800,95 model

my car has a straight down pipe with an end can, but my car gives only 10-11kmpl,im running on 5.0 or.05 pistons (dont know the correct number) . my car is now is now giving out whiteish smoke in the morning and at high revv's. my pick up and all is satisfactory it still touches 140 with ease! but im worried about the smoke problem.

Im even looking for a good set for headers (don't want to use auto mech)

suggestions
