Default power brake and steering in m800

can i install power brake and steering in my m800 and what would be the cost . plz give your suggestions

yes you can install power brakes it cost about 5k

but i wouldn't advise a ps as it will make the already light steering even lighter

If its a carburated 800 the authorised people wont do it.U ll have to go to a local garage fellow for that.
If yours is an mpfi the MASS people will do it.Parts cost around 4 grand.

Hi,

Your M-800 can be installed with power boosters(Power brakes)

It can be a Carb model or MPFI.

The unit costs around Rs 3800/-.Company KBX

I have one in mine since 4 yrs and God its effective.

Go install one immediately

i had talked about this to my car mechanic he said he can do it in 3000 .is it a good deal . whether this increase any chances of brake failures. will it increase braking power also.is it adviseable to do so.

very gud decision to go for power brakes. its really very useful especially when all other new cars around u have power brakes.
get it done from MUL autho service station. will cost u around 4500Rs but will be reliable.

Please remember not to switch off your engine as this will make the breaks go hard and ineffective. The engine's power is required for the booster to work.

regarding the power steering. i suggest you not to go for it. why do u need a power steering on such a light weight car? is it just a fantasy?
it will be very painfull plus the added maintainance cost.
even ladies steer maruti 800 effortlessly

i had added booster with the master cylinder from zen to my 800cc carb version years back and the brakes were working good

Yeah but the MASS wont fix it on a carburated 800.Only mpfi cars main they ll fix brake boosters if it does not have one.

Dude get it done at a local work shop, they would surely do it for you,

hey friends i have an another question does the whole power brake setup be fitted without any other mods becoz my car is carb model will the power booster fit correctly in the present brake system. if no than what should be done to the carbeurator so that power booster can be installed.

They drill the hole in the manifold to get the vaccume pressure.No mods needed to the carburator.
They will remove the master cylinder and u ll get a brake booster instead which has an intigrated master cylinder.
U dont need any other mods.

dear friend i am not taking about any technical mod but i want to know that whether the whole setup will fit in the place of present system becoz the brake booster will be bigger than present one. please tell me that will it fit there without removing carbeurator becoz space is very less if you want to see the pics i can post them .thanx

No need to post pics.I too have an 800
And for your question 'yes it will fit in the place where the master cylinder is present.No need to do anything..
