Rubber. To prevent the paint from chipping off when the door is opened.

I got the chrome strips on my grille blacked out + some extra bits on the bumper. not that perfect when you check from nearby, but looks good from afar

got it done from a shop in bakery - vinayak ( or was it vinayaka?) the guy there was really nice, a perfectionist actually . he did it three or 4 times ( the curves in the bumper did not let the vinyl stick properly) He tried from morning to afternoon ( wby which time I was way too hungry and said that what he had done was good enough for me ). he reduced the price from his initial estimate because he said it didnt look good enough, and asked me to stay a little while till he got it right.

He said he loved doing this sort of stuff, he does the number plates only because he has to pay his bills !

i got the stickering done on my scorpio (B, C & D pillars) for Rs. 600. however be sure he takes his own time to stick the vinyls. i he does it in a hurry, the stickers will come out in a month (personal experience).

I inquired about these stickers for my Zen. I want to sticker my Zen in the same way as shown in the pic. A number plate guy has quoted 600/-. Is this the price ??

600Rs ? That's too much..
I had got my Zen & OHC blackened with the stickers, If i remember correctly it was hardly 200-250Rs.
Enquire in JC Road, you have many shops which do this kind of work.
