The worst is the door. It was in 2 pieces when I saw it last time.
The car in discussion here was offered to me for 2L and after looking at the condition, I decided against it.

My recommendation is to stay away from this one.

yes yes its the one..thanks to wischvuanaudh for the pic...hey was the condition realy bad.??.bargained till 1.6..is it fairly good enough??..i mean iam ready to plonk in another one lakh to restore its condition..is it worth it??

Hafi:I just couldn;t figure out why are you buying this car,if some members know the in-depth of this car....you might be ready to go for a RIDE and have sleepless nights..the 1.6L looks tempting,but wouldnt be a waste if it turned out negative???think from the future calculations then going with your heart...I had done a similar mistake once on a Zen of that same price

... so be saved from all this...Just a word of caution from my end... Rest its upto you matey..best of luck

Thats the toughest decision that has to be made! the future calculations may be bleak, but you can still push acroos till the next month.... which means a strict no no.... but the heart is always saying go get it...

honestly id pay a lak and get the car i really like the car. but buy it only if u get all the parts needed and have the money to do so. lovely car for its times in bombay they still go for 4 laks plus

Sorry Jesal, a Sera of this condition will sell in Mumbai for less than 50k or so. It will be considered as junk by most knowing people of the trade.

This car is not worth even @ 1.6L in my opinion. The parts You'll need to restore this one will close more than a Lakh (that too, if you manage to find them in one of those 2nd hand/scrap markets in middle east/far east). I would suggest you to rather get a proper running condition & nicely maintained Sera from Bangalore/Chennai/Coimbatore/Mumbai for 3L or so.

hafi..look at it this way.If you really want to go with a car that has a history of problems, and BHPians vouch for its negative qualities,then rest assured it'll be a bumpy path that you tread on.
Else, time & money permitting,nothing should hold you back.
