@ ImmortalZ - Thanks man. I would love to mod the Civic. But, need a stock car in the family. And, the Civic is mostly driven by the chauffer. So..

@ Joseph - Thanks buddy!

@ Planet - Give me some time baba! You know how lazy I am!! Clicking and posting two pictures is enough for a week!! Haven't got a chance to test the brakes. Got the new battery just now. Will test the new setup tonight.

@ Sid Buro - Thanks saar! This was being done when your Baleno was getting some much needed pampering.

Supdiptoda, are you foretting that our Mr. Shuvo D's radii is 200km from home if he wants to return home driving SB, Or else he needs to push it back. High Octane, they say. So travelogue is out, you definitely wouldnt like a travelogue from here to Burdwaan or Panagarh or Kharagpur and back. But yep I promised Shuvo a photoshoot of both his Silver bullet and white civic. Civic pics will be coming up shortly along with some fabulous pics. ( hopefuly). Peace bro @shuv and let the liquor rain for you.

Why don't you just paint the alloy caps in black or chrome and put them on? Wouldn't that solve the problem?

The car is begging for headlamp eyelids, please!

Hmmmm. 3 hours later - still have a sweet hangover !

Drove the bullet for an hour today. From inching at 10kmph in 1st to 190kmph in, 4th (I think !!). My my .. does she pull after 2Kish.

Curves (not corners) at 150 in 3rd were rock solid with the PP2s.

Brakes - which were pretty scary (read ineffective) the last time I had a TD - have improved significantly with the Tar-Ox pads and Zimmerman rotors. No-fuss stops.

She's equally at ease at low speeds. Pretty easy to drive in inching city traffic. Though I must say I was taking a bit of time getting used to the heavier clutch and the throttle modulation. Even ended up gnashing the 3rd gear a couple of times. Hit the limiter once in 1st. It revved so quick, I overlooked and realised when I ran out of power. Boy-o-boy .. does she move!

And yes, the ICE was off all the time. Didn't miss it at all.

I keep convincing myself never to buy a Skoda because of all the negativity I read here. And then I drive SB and ... thank you @shuvd and damn you !!

Thank god I don't have the finances now !

so the "brother" gives an update - oh maa! the other brother is so Lazy.

never got a ride after the upgrades - the ride was definitely mind numbling

who needs ICE when the real "ICE" is back there - too bad Shuvc - you never got to enjoy the real "ICE" with the ice turned on.

EDIT: ooops! i read it now! he enjoyed the real ICE

Angry Coil Pack

A while back, the engine became extremely rough. It felt like a diesel Amby. Took the SB to Alok Auto and found that one coil had gone kaput. Coils cost 3.5k/each before tax, etc from the dealer. And, its better to change all four together.
Getting a set from Pete's.

@ Siddartha - I specifically checked for the fouling. Its A OK on the Rider. No idea about the vRS though.

The Black Painted alloys look very nice. As for the caps on the alloys - use the Skoda ones for now till you find something you like.

Rock On !!

Cheers
