what happened to the video? - but that will be nothing close to what it feels in person riding shotgun.

i would have done these:

1. while the car is stationary: keep the digicam on the ground (use the video shoot mode and set it to record ) - get inside the car - and rev the car.

2. stick the cam on the headrest (passenger side) using a cellotape and shoot the video with the windows opened. this way both of your hands will be free.

3. ask someone to shoot while you are at the wheel.

4. ask someone to stand at a distance and shoot a fly-by.

5. ask someone to sit inside / stand outside and shoot the launch.

the sound quality will be affected if the windows are kept open - but thats the only way to enjoy the ICE. the ICEaudison will be better at night with less traffic and honks.

@ planet,

I think we all kolkatawala's need to meet up this month and get this video done, plus that could end up being our monthly meet. why don't you start off a BHPians meet thread ( one option could be 24th Feb Sunday ). (sorry mods just had to give an example).

@ Joseph - see shifting gears > team bhp meet section.

@ shuvd - any update on the vRS alloys? once you are able to source the alloys and upgrade the brakes - the falkens wont be able to hold that much.

How about disclosing some of those details to us non-experts too?

What's that? How does that make it perfect?

Oh right. That is true. A rwd does feel different beyond a certain speed.

Sorry, I didn't figure that one out.

uuufff! you guys! at the end of the day its a FWD car with lots of pulling power and an awsome ICE (Read: exhaust note) - with lots of head turnings, wet pants, freezing hands, lots of tyre marks, smell of burnt rubber and lots of envy from other "fast" cars in the middle of the night on almost deserted streets of Kolkata.

i should have shot the video on the very first day i got a ride in that beast. oh! you lazy boose barrel - come on - go to the parking lot and shoot the video of the exhaust note and upload it @ youtube. also take a pic of the engine bay and the ICE that peeps at the back of the car. (dont forget to mask the reg. plates). [sorry yaar! i know you are not well - take care man and get well soon.]

Photos and more importantly, videos were taken tonight. Had a tough time keepin up with the beast though! I was doing 140+ and it felt like I was stuck in reverse!! The rate at which the Octy pulls away is mind numbing. Whoosh... gone.
Planet has some pics and vids, but the main clips are with BlackPearl. But there will be a slight delay, since the footage was captured on tape, and will need to be converted to digital and then uploaded. BP will be out of town for a few days, so please bear with us. All I can say is, it'll be worth the wait!
