Default Rear seats for Safari + Middle Row & ACon

Hi All,

A friend is planning to purchase the base version of the new 2.2 Safari. It seems that it doesn't come with the full rear seat but instead come with a sort of bench seats. He wants a foldable rear seat kind of like the one found on the Innova. Does anyone know if this can be done and if so how much would it cost?

Also, he would like the middle row A/C vents like how it comes on the higher variants. He asked the dealer and they quoted 1.5 lakhs for it. That looks a little too steep if you ask me. Has anyone been able to do that for a lower rate elsewhere?

Also, any good shops in blore that does the above stuff?

TIA,
Kuku

The rear seat is possible but would totally lack thigh support.
The roof ac should not cost more than 30K.

Default Modification of Safari Seats in 3rd Row

Is it possible to modify the 3rd row seats, which are pretty useless and fit a good seat ?
Any pointers to get this done in Bangalore is most welcome.

Default 3RD Row seats in SAFARI

Dude,

We are travelling in the same boat. I've tried the Maruti Omni seats with no luck.

I am now trying the Qualis rear seats with little bit of modifications, I am 99% confident that this will come out good, as the overall layout done by my Tinker looks very enterprising.

Will let you know at the earliest. Till such time do your research.

Friends,

I have booked a base version too. As per the dealer & also by my experience, there are no differences in the seating et all - middle row/ rear row.

Yes, the roof A/C is not available though. This I would say that the car looks better without one, as it looks like a add on. Had it been concealed the looks would have been fantastic.

Thank for being rude my friend,

Why dont you ask specific questions.

I agree you know better about the safari since you're owning it for years.

I replied for what you wrote, lets not go off topic.

I've tried getting at the rear from the mid row, its not that difficult,

Similar to the way in Tavera/Qualis or Innova.

Planning to change the seats once it completes the 36 mths warranty.

I plan to keep it stock.

Default Safari Front Facing 3rd Row Seats

Hi,

I have looked around the forum but could not find any information on this so far.

I am considering a Safari but would like it if the 3rd row jump seats could be replaced with proper front facing seats. Is this practically possible and legal to do.

Anybody has any experience doing this, please share your thoughts.

Brothers Friend has done the same with a tavera..mentioned something about it being legal since number of passengers accomodated were same(9 seated) which in fact is one less than usual 10 seater...i guess he did something else also..try but have no idea about it being legal or possible in a safari but such installs have been done on other vehicles(Qualis's Taveras etc...)
