I would strongly urge you to go in for RE35 for its excellent heat rejection qualities. It adds to the look of your car as well being a neutral colour and blends very well with any body colour.

Trust_In_Installer.

I paid 3500 for RE 70 for my Zen's side windows and rear windscreen with bill which included 10% or 12% tax in Delhi a couple of weeks ago. Since all REs cost the same, it adds up.

The RE series refer to the reflective film series of 3M. Check if your film is reflective in nature. Also, if you closely observe, the 3M watermark will be visible on the sunfilm.

Hey can you post some pic of your side glass ? I have seen your garage, is that Esteem with RE35?

And I feel , since the wagonR side glass is big, will it look more silverish and like a silver box?

After reading through the last few pages, I am in a state of perplex. The price variations I've received for getting RE50 on my Honda Jazz are quite huge.

Quotes I got for back/sides:
Local Dealer 1 - 2500/-
Local Dealer 2 - 2000/- (Both of these insist it to be RE 50)
Authorized Dealer - 6300/- (He says the above 2 aren't dealers and either they are applying a fake film or SP series)
Delhi Distributor - 5000/- for any RE/CS model plus it also includes the application at my home by their staff

What do you say guys? Which one should I approach to? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Wikus, I would appreciate if you can name the dealers so that we can add to the question in concern. Regarding the first two quotes, I doubt them as I got RE 50 for front windshield of i20 for about 2k.

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, my Esteem that you see in the my garage has RE35 on it. IMO, the side glass of the Esteem should be bigger than that of the Wagon R and it sure doesn't give that boxy appearance. Having said that, if you prefer a lesser degree of reflection, try out RE50 or RE70.

Is this RE series from 3M comes with only one shade?

The RE35 on your esteem is golden in color. I have seen reflective sunfilms in silver color too.

RE35 comes in one shade only which is neutral. As I said earlier, the film blends very well with any body colour. Actually it is mild silver if you ask me and not golden in colour. I will post a few pics of RE35 on my Esteem and on my Civic as well. That should give you an idea.

The dealers who quoted me 2/2.5k for RE50 are Planet C near Ashok Vihar and Discar is in Pitampura. The authorized 3M dealer charging me 6300 is Car Heaven at Ashok Vihar.

One more question, which is a better option between 3M SP and Garware Classic Lite?

Cheers!

Hey RE35 is not for windshield. It will transmit only 35% light. You need to stick to CR70 for the front windshield.
