Are you going for 17'' for looks ?

If you put low profile tyres it will give superior handling, however you will suffer in ride quality and they may have some maintenance issues because of the suspension are not tuned for it.

Clarify all these points and then go for the upgrade.

Default Posting my SX4 before and after body kit

As you can all see ,the MGA kit max the car look more agressive but the ground clearance from the front skirt is reduced thus resulting in it scraping the paint off the underside.

Itnerd, great looking car!!

If the clearance is bothering you, you can solve a good portion of that problem when you upgrade rims/tyres.

You can increase the ride height by choosing tyres with slightly higher aspect ratio.

I dont think its a very good idea to change your ride height by messing with the size of your tyres/wheels. Ideally, the outer diameter of your tyres should remain constant, or within 2% of stock. If you want to raise/lower your car its best to do that by modifying the suspension, and make sure whoever does that knows what they're doing.

Delhi, and Noida in particular has pretty nice roads. How about trying 18" wheels? Might make your teeth chatter over bad roads, but they would look awesome.

Thumbs up

@madmaxdave, nice work! your car looks wicked now

@AbhiJ and theEnd, Thanks mate. I dont have any issues with the GC with the body kits. In fact, the clearance still is high enough for all the notorious speedbreakers I had driven over so far! I only wanted to get new tyres and rims (possibly 17" or 225/55), just for the looks and handling.

btw, a friend of mine recently got his new SX4, along with the body kit. here are some shots of both the cars.
(some flirting sessions between "mens").

It always looks good when we have 2 SX4s side by side. My friends recently took the same color of mine. Here are some pics.

Hi
Does anyone know the size of the Sx4 grill?
Like would 18in x 48in sheet fit the current grill (both top and bumper)? I know I would have to cut it but just wondering if that would be big enough?
I have options of 18in x 48in and 12in x 48in. Just incase someone knows please help, since im really bad with sizes!
Also since we're putting up Sx4 and Sx4 pictures, here's my addition.
Mine is on the right with newly installed 4300K Bixenons and a friends stock bulbs.

Was wondering why do you want to sheet fit the current grill. Are you planning to do some modifications?
Also 4300K Bixenon how is the performance. Did you put relay, holder etc or they fitted in the existing assembly

Yup planning on changing the front a bit. The bixenons fit in the existing assembly with ballast and everything as the normal HID set up goes. Performance Im quite happy, the white is much whiter than the Philips VisionPlus I had before. Throw is quite far too. These are 50w bulbs as compared to normal 35w ones; hence I get flashed quite a few times by oncoming traffic.
