thats awesome dude and excellent work by all who helped in the build
Good to know that you are loving it and will keep on for a long long time!!

one question - can you elaborate more on "no hard racing launches and why the gear box is weakest at this point"

Well some components in the gearbox are not strong enough to take the extra load that a hard launch with a turbo will put on them and they will give way. They will hold for some number of launches but regular habit of hard launches will not be taken by these components.

aside from hard launches - i hope you are allowed to drive hard once the launch is done or is it a stonker even if not driven at the max

Oil temperature would be an Achilees Heel.

Yes you can drive as hard as you want post the launch as the stress on the gear box is much less on a rolling start. I have already done 190 in fourth gear. Was almost at the rev limiter which is set at 7000 rpm. The pick up even at low RPM's has gone up so it is fun to drive even in traffic.

@theMAG - Oil temperature seems to holding steady as you know by first hand experience. Will shift to 5k replacement cycle now for the oil.

Latest update - Removed the center muffler and replaced with a straight pipe today. Was running a stock center muffler till now. Sounds pretty neat now. Not too loud but loads of bass. Hope LBM is not reading this. :-)

Vikram looks like you finally found time to get out of the drivers seat and type out a review.

I can just sense how excited you are about this set up.

I remember In the drive to yercaud you were at MOD1 stage as you mentioned and you were asking Psycho about a TC job quite casually. Not so long ago and now you sound like a professional who can give TC job advice.

Quick question - sorry if its a lame one- whats a BOV? what does it do if its not self explanatory?

Also after this review, I need to get my car to Vasu and Psycho for some headers plumbing.

Congrats Vikram on the TC and its just an icing on the cake for you as your Swift is one of among the ones i admire....BTW how do you spool the turbo...Infact if you could tell me what spooling means in the first place.

In the context that I have used it spooling in lay mans terms means to let the turbo spin up and down gradually. It is very critical for oil cooled turboes to heat up and cool down gradually as the turbine inside the turbo rotates at extremely high RPM's. So basically I let the vehicle idle for 30 secs before driving and 30 seconds after driving.

@IronWolf - I guess Wikipedia answered your question.
