last night i got a chance to see the car with the lights. the Visiblity has increase 5fold compared to the old lights. One of the lights needs a bit of focusing but otherwise its looking awesome and is very usable.

Thats expensive, but I guess its because they are running the online store.

An importer has offered me Bixenon (HiLo) projectors for around 7k a pair but he said there is some minimum order needed. Lets see if we can work it out.

anirudh... all this projector stuff really getting into my head.... that is the only thing i can think about whn i look at my car!

Do you think the projector kit that you mentioned can be used with the Baleno? I know there will be a lot of work involved, but at the end of the day, would it work?! If yes, I might just place an order as well!

Will work in the Baleno as it is an H4 BiXenon. Minimal work is required, main thing is in achieving the correct position of the projector for best throw.

H4 bi-xenon H.I.D wont work on the projectors.. you will need h7 for that single beam..

I guess I wasnt clear enough. What I meant is that the projector itself is a High/Low beam unit. Like what has been used in the Santro.

For single beam projectors (like yours) I think H1, H3 & H7 are what is commonly used.

H4 cannot be used as far as i think because the holder size is different, the projector is high and low hence it will deflect the beam up and down.Hence you will need a h7 or h8 for it. You will have to change the bulbs of the existing kit according to the holder size of the projectors you pick up

Its like you tried to save money on smaller cheaper lights. You might have seen certain not so well maintained TATA trucks, which the owner installed cheaper round lights on metal bracket to replace the much expensive rectangle one.

PS: instead of black background, you might have used clear glass setup and modded the assembly to accomodate your light.

As mentioned before

1> its a LOW BUDGET DIY setup.Thats the whole point here is that its doable and you dont need to spend 15-20k on just the projector lights, H.I.D costs extra

2> finishing is not complete , get me a clear glass for this model il be glad. if a normal H4 clear lense lights were available for this model,then thing would had been different

3> I was more keen on the lights and there functionality rather than their beautification

4>Every one has there own opinion about looks,so cant really make every one happy.

if you are a frequent visitor to kabadi like me, you can source the side fender and grill of Type II. and then clear glass setup will be possible. actually even new ones are just Rs.290+cost of painting+cost of clear glass light (which is expensive now). but delhi me sab milta hai

Well im not..

Anyways type 2 has a different hood,fender,the light casing holder,grill.Now even i look for it in scrap i will not be able to match the paint,neither i want to get it painted fully.Any why should i change so many things just for fitting H.I.Ds i think the projector did what i wanted and i my opinon having a front type 2 looks and rear type 1 is really weird for me.
