Stock GT-R is a 6 speed, IIRC.

The R32 and R33 GTR were 5-speed. Nissan deployed a new 6-speed Getrag gearbox in the R34 GTR.

@Devilvtec - Great choice on the car, please keep us updated with pictures on the progress of your build.

Have you decided what kind of wheels you will be going for?

Hi mate..

By the looks of it, the current motor in your car is a RB20E (Not a DE)

And i would recommend going in for a Single turbo on the RB26 (With a T51 or higher blower) or a very clean RB26DETT (If you can find one)...go for R33+ engine...they had steel blades instead of ceramic blades in the turbo and lasted longer...

I don't think you have the GTR's Attesa AWD system...so going RWD should be a problem.

Also make sure you upgrade your brakes or get some R33 brakes..(Brembo) Stock R32 brakes are a nightmare...

register and do some research here.. Skylines Australia

P.S. I would not recommend a 2 door conversion if you are planning on shortening the wheelbase by cutting through the middle and welding it back together...its just that the RB26 is a killer motor and with the power you're trying to get out of it...stability and rigidity is a big concern.

Please do let me know if need to sell you current motor and tranny off..

cheers..

From the looks of that engine pic above, it may be the 2.5l motor. The intake manifold seems to have six humps where the runners are going to the intake ports on the head. If there were pics from the sides of the motor, it would be much easier to figure out.
