Thumbs up Swift - Diesel - Mods

Hello All !

I just got a new Swift vdi - White
MH 04 DR 1133

Trying to get some small things done in / for it.

I will document the work in progress & all that is being installed.

There is ICE & Alloy Rims + Remus Exhaust + Chip [tuning] etc.

So here it goes :-

The ICE work is just starting as we speak.
It will be done by Boom - Bandra.

1st step is the stripping of the car - damping - noise kill.
I shall take as many pictures as I can & try to post them here.

Hello Bhagwan,

Do let us know how the chiptuning mod performs, your tyres are 101% drool stuff.

Cheers

One of the Best Set of OZ's and rubbers. BTW I would call your car as (PEG)
inshort as "Pocket Earthquake Generator!!!" Excellent Choice with the materials!

Sure, I can tell you;
However, is it allowed to talk commercial things on the forum ?
I do not want the mods to 'pissed with me !!!

It has a MSRP od Rs. 13,999/- Remus.

Yes Sir,

I really like this Tyre.

It is my 2nd favourite after Michelin Pilot Sport.

The Chip stuff I will let you know in a while.
Currently the car will not be moved for 4 to 5 days, since all the work is to go on.

Congratz, great choice of rims. How is the ride with 17 inch?

The one thing I loved about this effort is the seemingly independant choice of mods. Nice looker of a car you got there now. Please do update us on the performance of the DTE box.

If you're not commercially involved with the brand/product there is no problem in stating the price.

Nice choice of wheels & tyres though. Could you give me the price you paid for the wheels? And more details of the chip too! Thanks and Congratulations!

17 with 45 profile i am hoping this not touch. 4 to 5 days at the installer. i just have a feeling you might spend the same amount as you paid for the car itself on the ice and the mods too... i am not into technical at all but i would like to know what is the advantage using the remus exhaust, at 14k it better be worth it and i dont think its a problem to discuss the prices at all.

Sir,

The car was delivered on Wednesday.
Thursday I installed the things that you see.

Currently the ICE work is in progress.
I will get a chance to drive this car on Monday or Tuesday - after the work is complete.

I shall surely write about the car & its tuning box as soon as I have done some comprehensive testing.

Thanks,

'B'

BHAGWAN , nice mods ... though 17 inchers on the swift maybe overkill for the suspension as I had put 15 inchers and they messed up the suspension pretty quickly . Luv the alloys and am waiting to see pics of the side view after they installed .

Also which tuning box is this .. I mean Petes is the one thats really popular in here !! Whats the difference in power gained between this and Petes tuning box -- also who is the dealer for this in India ??

And coming to the Remus exhaust .. any difference in power or sound ?? Can you upload a audio file of the sound while you go from standstill to 120 kmph once you get the car back ??

Cheers

Yes, 17" does make the ride - uncomfortable. But, I like it.

This is not Pete's Box. Some other one.
It is sold by 4 Seasons here in Mumbai.
The Remus Exhaust - I do not know much about.
Does it make a differance in the sound ? I never knew diesel engines sounded 'good' !!
