That's true. From experience, have to drive with the foot on the brakes in the rain.

Agree with Amit.

EBC pads are also an option.

be careful buying from UK/US. get the exact part number or the parts won't fit the Indian Baleno. I tried to approximate the buy and ended up with pads that can't be used.

Damn, thats what I am worried about. How to make sure it fits the Indian Baleno. If we are buy from US i guess the 99 baleno will be a fit.

In India the same pads retail for almost double the price.

I don't think EBC has (upgrade) green stuff pads for the Baleno.
Let me attach an excel file for convenience.

Nitrous, nice xls. Is there anything for OHc though?
There is a time consuming process. Take a pic/cut out/dimension of the exising brake pad and try and match with the one you buy.

get an old set off your car. the website illustrates the pads, check which model is suitable and buy them.
Suzukis came with 3 variations and all 3 pads are very distinct from each other.
esteem and baleno are the same.

I was thinking that the Indian baleno is the same as the 98 Esteem sedan in the US. If this is like this better buy from some indian source only.

How much are the TMD brake pads for the Baleno?

Any other brand options in India?
Anything that can be bought online?

Oh I forgot to update, bought these pads and they are absolutely better than anything locally available. Its only 70$ and worth the money.

The OE pads and discs now cost around 4K and 2.2K respectively. For a set of fronts.

Apparently the pads are still imported and hence the price has shot up post the Japan earthquake.
