Drag Mods in India....good,bad or just plain ugly - Team-BHP

I am doing a article on the Indian drag racing scene. Would be great help if you could let me know what modification you like on your cars and what is a absolute no-no, but you have still seen on many cars (eg: fake sunroofs, cheesy stickers etc). Interior, Exterior, Engine.....

Any inputs will help.

Go to the Bad Modifications thread - there's pretty much everything that you'll need to write the article... and do tell us when it comes out!

i hate the stickers everone puts up on their front fenders aka fast and furious style.....totally funny adn downright idiotic.
half have eibach,koni and dms on the same car.
its supposed to be of stuff you have installed in your car and not what you think looks "cool"

Rear disc brakes, tweaked ECUs, exhaust system, air intake system, TC (but only for really big cars, to which it will make a considerable difference - lie the Civic, which is sussposed to come out thiss August...)... anything else that u can think of iceman?

headers,free flow,ported and polished heads,perf plugs(irridium,platinum),plug cables, K&N free flow air filters,and finally nos seems to be a comman stuff on the drag racing scene.......

I think the simplest & cheapest mod, which is also one of the most neglected is reducing weight.

Removing rear seats, stepnee, passenger seat, not running a full tank of fuel, getting rid of floormats, replacing rear glasses with plexi, no windshield washer fluid, etc etc...the list can go on.

modded gearbox, performance clutches, better fuel management, ignition systems, nitrous systems (overflowin in blore), better tires, better braking, lowered/ stiffened suspension
more on its way....

well 90% of the above mentioned mods are on my car...also your thread pretty much asks for mods not our specific rides...am sorry.

Thanks guys.....(esp iceman and aveek)....not really looking for specific rides.
just want the to let others know that we (indians) just don't go around with silly exterior mods. (hopefully will manage) will give special mention of this site.

heard of any modders outside of b'lore c'batore mumbai?
it seems most of the guys are from these town.
need to know if you guys have seen cars in smaller towns, were one won't expect to see them?
