Interesting find.

Do they recommend CAI or so for better breathing?

If its true then Scorpio mHAWK owners can try this too because the 2.2L DICOR and the 2.2L mHAWK are essentially the same engine designed by a firm in Australia for both TATA and M&M.

A Tuning Box delivering 96BHP increase with just electronics??? Can anybody please explain technically if this is possible and how.

@Sameel if you are following this, your tech inputs would be appreciated by all.
i think u took 140 will be increased to 236 . infact 236 is the torque produced by original engine which will be bumped to 266 and
power from 140 bhp to 160bhp.

It says 236 lbft or Foot-Pound. Run a convertor for Newton-Meter - that would be 326 nm. The tuned figure is 266 lbft or 368 nm. Sounds pretty juicy - 160bhp and 368nm is a killer combo. I'd pay 40ks for that if I had a 2.2 engine in my Truck.

Did some research on tuning boxes for the Ikon. Many manufacturers make tuning boxes for the Ford Fiesta 1.4.

PSI motorsport's website shows that there are 2 models for the PSI box.
1.4 TDCi 50kW 68 HP (5G) 2002
1.4 TDCi 50kW 68 HP (5GA) 2002
One with 5G and the other with 5GA. So which is the engine model for the Ikon/Fiesta sold here?
PSI motorsport : Diesel Tuning : PowerBox
choose Brand a Ford, Model as Fiesta and you can see the 2 options in the Motorisation/power/year... dropdown.

Also, there seems to be SIEMENS version and a BOSCH version.
See here: Tuning, Performance, power, Diesel, system, puce, turbo, additionnel, tdi,CDI, Tuningbox, HDI tuning, Jetta TDI, Toyota D4D, system Choose Ford in the dropdown.

Is the Ikon's engine the SIEMENS version or the BOSCH version?

I plan to buy one from one of these guys, because the Petes box seems overpriced at > 40k.
Guys, quoting my post here so that it gets the attention of not just Ikon owners.

I am also interested in buying the power box tuner for fiesta. Can you tell me from where you bought this tuning box. 40K for petes for fiesta. I also found it costly.

I agree that it is costly for the Fiesta.

He got it from TDC Technologies. Here is their eBay store.

Hi Shyamsundar,
Sorry I did not get your message posted here for some reason and neither did I get proxima's message. Then Proxima emailed me.
Yes the tuning box was purchased from TDC Technologies and they have a eBay store too.
Actually, the myth about this tuning box has changed that it works with every other car. Well that is not entirely true because you would need different connectors for different cars depending on rails by Bosch , Siemens / Delphi etc.
Now I also need some help with a extra tuning box which is brand new but was meant for Merc CDI , Audi TDI , BMW. If someone can help me find connectors I would appreciate it.
Warm regards,
Adit.
